Enjoy! (Louis Wu 19:36:31 UTC)

April 2, 2010 Link to this post Jeskid talks to RT
If you're one of the people who is worried about the direction that Rooster Teeth is taking with their Red vs Blue series (moving away from purely in-game footage, adding animated CG), you might want to watch the most recent episode of Jeskid TV. Jeskid is a long-time RvB fan with a web TV show, and Episode 61 has an interview with Burnie Burns and Monty Oum about where Rooster Teeth is going. It's a fascinating interview that ranges from how RT has grown to how the internet has changed to how you monetize web content - but there are chunks that should reassure fans of the old-school machinima stuff RT does. They're definitely branching out - live action, pure cg stuff, and more - but Red vs Blue is still focused on making the most of the Halo engine, while remaining true to its original limitations. As Burnie says, "it wouldn't be honest to Red vs Blue" if the characters suddenly became "awesome Kung-Fu fighters". Part of the fun, after all, are those limitations. (Louis Wu 15:35:23 UTC)
April 2, 2010 Link to this post Red vs. Blue Revelation, Chapter 1 I would like to apologize for not mentioning yesterday that Rooster Teeth planned to stream the first 3.5 episodes of the new season of Red vs Blue live to sponsors - it was a one-time-only deal. (They were doing a show at the Alamo Draft House at the same time.) Turns out, it didn't go quite as well as expected (those guys are simply too popular these days), so if you DID watch it, you might have found yourself a bit frustrated... but never fear; the same content will be released weekly, both to sponsors and the general public. In fact, Episode 1 of Red vs Blue: Revelation is now online for everyone. It continues the storyline from Recreation, and promises some serious advances in machinima as the season continues. It rocks! (Louis Wu 14:27:55 UTC)
April 2, 2010 Link to this post Star Power
Taco Power stopped into our forum to announce Tsieh She, a "celebration of an average player having an above average day" - it's a fun, mellow montage showing off clips we're ALL capable of, from time to time. It's not MLGPro gameplay - but most of us can probably connect with this level better, anyway. Go watch! (Louis Wu 14:25:22 UTC)
April 1, 2010 Link to this post Echopraxia Anakade stopped in to let us know about Echopraxia, a Halo 3 multiplayer tricking vid. Some fun stuff in there! (Louis Wu 15:22:52 UTC)

Last week, a video went up on Xbox LIVE's Spotlight - it was an interview with Marcus Lehto, recorded by OXM at the Game Developers Conference. There wasn't a huge amount of new content, but for folks looking for every tidbit of Reach coverage out there, it's worth a look. It got posted on YouTube yesterday. Thanks, Zeouterlimits. March 28, 2010 Link to this post The Gift of Mercy
Nabsuh let us know about The Gift of Mercy, a machinima project directed by Drift0r that uses Halo 3, Modern Warfare 2, and straight-up CGI to tell a story of misunderstanding and betrayal. Narration is done by bs angel. Overall, a great piece of work - go watch it!

March 26, 2010 Link to this post Montagia Couple of new montages for you, courtesy of Bungie's Comm Chatter: Glory and Fitzy provided the gameplay for Second Chance - very nice editing by Dudeman27. March 26, 2010 Link to this post After the Game
Sean Bradley (you might remember the name; he's created some amazing Halo universe armor and weapons) has released a ten-minute live-action film with his brother called 'After the Game'. It'll give you a bit of an idea of what happens after you turn off your Xbox... (Seems like Master Chief thinks cats are in the Covenant.) There are two versions: the 'Fanboy Cut' includes additional footage for gamers, while the 'Film Fest Cut' features a different plot and ending. Amazing piece of work! (Lots of little tidbits for long-time Halo fans - and movie fans - in there!)

March 24, 2010 Link to this post Kerlo's Old School Montage
Quick catch-up on news from Bungie's Comm Chatter before the clock rolls over... starting with a pretty nice montage from a Polish Halo 3 player, Kerlo. The man is scary-good with a sniper rifle. 11 minutes long - but quite watchable.

March 24, 2010 Link to this post Halo Buffy Theme
AssaultGodzilla posted another of his older Halo music videos - this one is set to the Buffy theme; he put it together for Halloween 2008. Seems a bit more disjointed than some of his newer work... (Louis Wu 12:21:34 UTC)
March 23, 2010 Link to this post Tuesday Afternoon Vids A foursome of new vids for you, courtesy of Bungie's Comm Chatter: - LaCoz3 released The Fresh Feeling 2 - video quality could use some work, but there are some slick sticks in there.
- Mirific has created his last Halo 3 montage - editing is a tad overdone, mb.
- Another LaCoz3 montage - this one is called 'Shine', and features 100% MLG action. Same quality issues as the first LaCoz3 vid.
- Unidentified Failing Object 3 is a Halo 3 Funtage from Billdebeast - mostly it's clips of him doing good stuff, and his friends doing bad stuff. (I think Scapegoat413 should stay out of hogs on Avalanche...)
Go watch. (Louis Wu 17:59:58 UTC)

Pretty cool little animation from Nabsuh this afternoon - check it out! (Louis Wu 20:43:40 UTC)
