September 19, 2013 Link to this post Lights make everything better JoshuaKane visited DragonCon this year, fully kitted out as a Spartan with a really cool energy sword (created by our old friend Sean Bradley, no less) - you can read about it at Adafruit, or watch a short video of the sword, in all its colorful glory. (It looks like Revenant1988 found this, too - and kicked off a thread on our forum, which drew in Joshua himself! Go talk to him about this gorgeous piece of work. (Louis Wu 21:23:05 UTC)
July 12, 2012 Link to this post Spartan Cosplay from Anime Expo Wow, very nice. EleventhPhotograph has posted a gallery of shots from Anime Expo - they're labeled as 'Spartan Sean'. I'm not sure if this is Sean Bradley or not, but either way, they're amazing! Go check 'em. Thanks, nam. Update: Looks like it's the 405th's Nick Nack Patty Wack - thanks, Revenant1988! (Louis Wu 17:29:45 UTC)
April 5, 2012 Link to this post Dutch ODST Helmet - for sale soon!
Laird convinced Sean Bradley to put together a Dutch ODST helmet for his (Laird's) Child's Play fundraiser coming up in May - Sean not only complied, he documented the process. Awesome pics, awesome-looking helmet - it can be yours for the right price on May 20! (Tom Van Sinden 17:30:37 UTC)
October 25, 2010 Link to this post European Noble Team Statues
Sean Bradley ran across a really interesting story on a spanish website - looks like Microsoft commissioned a totally different Noble Team statue from a sculpture studio in Spain. Lots of in-progress pictures at Taringa.net (Google-translated here), some on-display pics at ultimapantalla.net (Google-translated here). Apparently, these statues are on tour in Spain through October. Pretty cool! (Louis Wu 16:11:26 UTC)
July 19, 2010 Link to this post MC and ODST march for cancer relief
Sean Bradley sent word that he and another 405th moderator marched in an American Cancer Society Relay for Life walkathon - in full armor, in 100 degree heat. (Yes, they're officially crazy.) There's a writeup on the 405th forum, with a full gallery of the pics at Photobucket, and even a separate photoshoot of the ODST costume (pretty scenery!). Go browse! (Louis Wu 13:10:01 UTC)
June 1, 2010 Link to this post ODST Helmet for Charity We mentioned Laird's upcoming Child's Play charity auction in passing yesterday; we got mail last night from Sean Bradley, who submitted a tricked-out ODST helmet to the mix. He made a commercial for it, plus he's posted a collection of 'in-progress' shots and finished shots for the helmet itself. Finally, there's a thread detailing all of this at the 405th website. Looks fantastic! When Laird lets us know full details about the auction, we'll post them here! (Louis Wu 15:13:24 UTC)
April 8, 2010 Link to this post Legacy Studios ODST Suits - at ECCC Apparently, Bungie showed off the ODST costumes used in the 'We Are ODST' ad at the Emerald City ComiCon a few weeks ago - until now, we hadn't seen any decent pictures. Luckily, though, a member of the 405th was there, with a camera, and documented it - great shots! (They do look a bit worn-out, though... poor guys!) Thanks to Sean Bradley for the heads-up. Update: It was 343 Industries that had that armor at the ECCC, not Bungie. My bad! (Louis Wu 15:09:21 UTC)
March 26, 2010 Link to this post After the Game
Sean Bradley (you might remember the name; he's created some amazing Halo universe armor and weapons) has released a ten-minute live-action film with his brother called 'After the Game'. It'll give you a bit of an idea of what happens after you turn off your Xbox... (Seems like Master Chief thinks cats are in the Covenant.) There are two versions: the 'Fanboy Cut' includes additional footage for gamers, while the 'Film Fest Cut' features a different plot and ending. Amazing piece of work! (Lots of little tidbits for long-time Halo fans - and movie fans - in there!)

October 15, 2009 Link to this post An ODST drops into VGXPO
Sean Bradley was at VGXPO in Philly this weekend - and he was fully decked-out in his ODST outfit. He won two awards in their costume competition on Saturday; Most Complex Costume, and Best Costume. There's a post on the 405th with some pics and a link to some videos, and there are more pics in his Photobucket album. Superb! (Louis Wu 13:33:28 UTC)
September 17, 2009 Link to this post ODST shows up at ODST Truck
Sean Bradley let us know about a collection of photos from his visit to the ODST Firefight Roadshow in Pennsylvania yesterday. There's a discussion and some photos in this 405th Forum thread - and his full gallery of shots is available at Photobucket. That dude was tricked out! (This will be the only time you'll see an ODST wielding an energy sword, unfortunately.)

September 10, 2009 Link to this post 405th Infantry Represents at Dragoncon
The 405th was out in force at last weekend's Dragoncon 2009 in Atlanta, GA - and you can see some great pics in this thread on their forum (thanks, Sean Bradley). Sean's own photos can be found at photobucket - including a brand-new energy sword he debuted at this event. (More on that coming soon!) Check this stuff out - it's amazing. (Louis Wu 16:51:07 UTC)
March 5, 2009 Link to this post 405th Source, March 2009 now available
Sean Bradley let us know that the March issue of the 405th e-zine is now online - it's 45 pages long, and chock-full of goodness like a the inside story of the building of Sean's Arbiter costume (fantastic photos!), an interview with SkullCandyGirl, a spotlight on 405th member Moz, a bunch of fan fiction, a tutorial on smoothcasting... and more. Go grab a copy! (Louis Wu 19:16:33 UTC)
November 8, 2008 Link to this post Official Master Chief Helmet InnerRayg ntoiced that a new licensed product is now on the market - over at Gamernode, there's word of a Microsoft-approved full-sized Master Chief helmet, selling for $115. No word on who makes these. Update: The 405th's Sean Bradley confirmed that this is not a new item - it's simply the Deluxed Halo 3 Master Chief Mask from Rubie's, sold separately. Mr_Sniffles1 took pics of the entire outfit recently - you can see the helmet is the same. $115 might be more than you need to spend - a quick search turned up the helmet for anywhere from $80 to $100. The picture shown on most websites is not accurate (it shows the cheaper vacuformed helmet). (Louis Wu 15:49:21 UTC)
November 6, 2008 Link to this post More Costume Voting We mentioned the Kotaku cosplay contest yesterday - Sean Bradley's Arbiter didn't get the love it deserved because the Halo community didn't know about it in time. Never fear - he's entered it in OTHER contests, and you've still got time to vote! Swing by CollegeHumor, and you'll be faced with 2-at-a-time faceoffs; you might need a few reloads before you get to the Arbiter, but there are some other great costumes in there as well. Go vote! (He entered the I-am-bored.com contest, as well - but voting is over for that one, too. He took second place! You gotta wonder a little, when you see what won first...) (Louis Wu 14:18:31 UTC)
September 3, 2008 Link to this post 405th Represents at DragonCon
Sean Bradley sent word that a rather large contingent of the 405th Infantry Division (the armor guys) showed up at DragonCon in Atlanta last weekend; there's a thread on their forum with pictures and discussion, but Sean also passed along some specific photo collections from members: Amazing stuff - with more to come! (It's all great - but check out the Arbiter shots for some truly stunning material.) (Louis Wu 19:26:39 UTC)
February 25, 2008 Link to this post McFarlane Figures - now on Walmart shelves
Xavier pointed out a new gallery from Sean Bradley over at the 405th forums - looks like Walmart is selling McFarlane Halo 3 action figures about 10 days ahead of schedule. Go see what he found! (Louis Wu 12:59:45 UTC)
January 24, 2008 Link to this post Sniper School Training Vids now on XBLM Over at the 405th, Sean Bradley noticed that the US Army Sniper Training Videos are now online on Xbox LIVE Marketplace. (Thanks to Xavier for the heads-up on this.) To download them for yourself (they're free), go to the Marketplace blade on your 360, then select 'Spotlight'. Scroll over to 'Free Stuff' - you should see 'Sniper School Free Gamerpic' or something close to that, a little way down the list. Select it, and you'll have the option to download each of the four videos (Know Your Weapon, and then Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced Sniper Tactics), as well as a Sniper School Theme. As far as I know, these are not available on the web (and I don't know if we're allowed to MAKE them available), so you'll need to grab them from Marketplace if you want to watch them. They show you nice places to perch if you're a sniper. (Louis Wu 17:09:37 UTC)
June 5, 2007 Link to this post T-Shirts for the Chief(s)
Kotaku has announced the winners of their Halo 3 Beta t-shirt giveaway (thanks, madcowjim) - congrats to PostIt-Chief and to Sean Bradley (whose energy sword was featured here just last week). Nice going, guys! (Louis Wu 18:28:19 UTC)
May 30, 2007 Link to this post Don't get in his way. Sean Bradley has been working for a while on a wieldable energy sword - and recently, he gave us permission to document his efforts. Awesome pics - this was truly a labor of love! (Keep your eyes peeled; there's more coming in the not-too-distant future.) Go check out his stuff - from basic sketches to a working, glowing sword! (Louis Wu 15:25:43 UTC)
