Ogre Madness
A new Ogre Montage went up last Friday - you can find it at Combovideos.com. There's a sizeable thread over at MLGPro.com about it. Thanks to STB on our own forum for the heads-up. 55.1 mb, almost 12 minutes long, WMP9 format. These guys are unreal... More Halo Rap
Okay - this one needs a MAJOR MPAA Explicit Lyrics warning... but it's pretty darn funny. Coaxke posted the latest offering from Futuristic Sex Robotz, a 'Gangster Nerd Rap group', on our forum; there's an MP3, as well as a music video in both QuickTime and WMP9 formats. We've mirrored all three items, to save them bandwidth:

Out of Hang 'em High

Legendary
blackouTT and others from clan Tricking IT have begun work on Legendary, a new machinima - 4 Spartans against the universe. Halomachinima.com is hosting a WMP9 and a DivX version of the trailer (a bit over 20 mb, for either version) - production quality is somewhat inconsistent, but hopefully that will be cleared up before they're done. The Codex Ep 7 now out

Noobs Gone Wild 2
Bonekin posted Noobs Gone Wild 2, a humorous look at silly gameplay (mistakes made both by him and by his opponents - everyone's speared equally) yesterday. (Download links are in the forum post.) We've put up mirrors for his WMP9 versions (hi-res | low-res), and added QuickTime versions that are roughly the same quality as his MPEG versions, but half the size (hi-res, 28.6 mb | low-res, 14.1 mb). Fensler Films, Remade
TLove and DemonStrate are remaking the Fensler Films - a series of G.I. Joe public service announcements with new soundtracks - in the Halo engine. The first couple are available as their own movies, or in split-screen, with the original video running simultaneously (so you can see what they're reproducing). I missed the Fensler Films the first time around, but people love 'em, it seems - and the Halo reproductions are pretty accurate! (Louis Wu 12:14:39 UTC)

GT 15 - A Modded LAN
GTJuggler filmed a modded LAN recently - the result is up on the Halo GT website. Not So Common Sense - Coming Soon
Over on the Bungie.net forums, Overswarm has been making a name for himself with a strategy guide, presented in forum posts, called 'Not So Common Sense'. He came to us with a proposal - that he codify this guide, organize it, and that we give it a permanent home here at HBO. Seemed like a pretty reasonable idea - so look for his articles to begin appearing soon. Look - Flamingos. And Penguins!
Wow. Fire Team Charlie has posted Episode 18 for members - currently DivX-only (74.5 mb), but QuickTime coming soon. With all the machinima coming out these days, and no updates since mid-January, you might have forgotten about these guys... that would be a mistake. Delta Squad Ep 2 - again
Yesterday's release of Delta Squad Episode 2 managed to bring down the server for Chronic V1RU5 - they hope to be up and running later this week. In the meantime, there's a mirror of the video at halomachinima.com, and we've put up our own mirrors - two for the original WMP9 (mythica.org | bungie.org) and two for a QuickTime version (bungie.org | mythica.org). It's a fun film - we hate to see sites go under. Update: Apparently, the Chronic V1RU5 team jumped the gun with the halomachinima.com mirror; it's up now, however. Delta Squad, Episode 2: Headlong
Chronic V1RU5 has released episode 2 of their Delta Squad series. 55 mb, WMP9 format. Infiltration of an enemy base (Headlong), followed by a huge battle. Once again, battle footage has some nice 'shakeycam' work... really feels like wartime journalism. It's a little hard to tell the good guys from the bad guys - armor colors at a distance are pretty close (especially in low light). Voice work... needs work. Cinematography, however, is top-notch. Red vs Blue has posted Episode 52, 'Have We Met?' on their video page for sponsors. (Yes, of course, it'll be up for everyone else in a couple of days.) Time travel can be rough.
