Digikid pointed out that Spriggs Episode 7 has been released; currently there's only a DivX download available, but more is coming. 16 minutes, 87 mb, the story is getting far more coherent. (No less silly - but that's not necessarily a bad thing.) Go watch! (Louis Wu 01:13:26 UTC)
March 4, 2008 Link to this post Recovery One, Part 1 - For Everyone
Back in November (well, starting in late October, I guess), Rooster Teeth posted a machinima series on Xbox Live Marketplace and on their website, for sponsors - Recovery One is a four-part series that follows up on Out of Mind, and expands the RvB universe. (It's considerably darker than the standard RvB fare.) It's now available for free for all on their website - if you haven't seen it, go watch Part 1! (Sponsors should visit, too - Director's Commentary for Part 1 has been posted, as well.) (Louis Wu 13:32:08 UTC)

March 1, 2008 Link to this post Symbiosis
Major Silva was the first to point out that Deus Ex Machina Episode 7 is now available on Machinima.com. DigitalPh33r's series continues in its odd progression... the numbers on the machinima.com page aren't right (they list a size of about 120mb, and a length of 27:31, when the episode is actually about 30 mb, and just over 16 minutes long), but you can download it there, or view it on YouTube (thanks, Vincent). (Louis Wu 17:12:04 UTC)

TheShadyGnome pointed out the newest ForgeHub Video Tutorial - #6 covers Effective Spawn Placement. Tons of good information to help you think about when to spawn (or respawn) your players WHERE... but I never, ever, EVER want to see an armed Elite doing the Macarena again. Ever. February 16, 2008 Link to this post Parasite DigitalPh33r has released Episode 6 of his 'Deus Ex Machina' series - even though Plague's dead, Brent has plenty of problems still facing him - not least is a mysterious alien capable of taking over unwilling hosts. Eighteen and a half minutes long, some great camera work. Definitely sets up Episode 7 as an exciting installment... thanks to discopete019 for the heads-up. (Louis Wu 11:04:49 UTC)
February 15, 2008 Link to this post Master Chief: Pwned Life: Episode 2
tb2571989 pointed out thaqt AxS CALiBER has made another episode of 'Master Chief: Pwned Life' - it's starting to feel less like an homage to DigitalPh33r's Master Chief Sucks at Halo, and more like a derivative work. You might enjoy it, though.

February 13, 2008 Link to this post Master Chief: Pwned Life
AxS CALiBER was inspired by the 'Master Chief Sucks at Halo' series of videos to create Master Chief: Pwned Life - it takes the opening cutscene from Halo 3, and overlays a new dialogue track. Great work combining Halo 3 Soundtrack music with the cutscene to remove stuff like Cortana's voiceover! Funny stuff - thanks, Nitro288. (Louis Wu 14:58:45 UTC)
February 11, 2008 Link to this post Overkill Extermination Mongoose Mowdown
thehomeland ran across someone bragging that they'd gotten an extermination with a mongoose; he didn't believe it, but the film is still in gizmo777's fileshare. (It's slot 1, labeled "WTF!!!") thehomeland decided to make it more accessible to those without access to the film, so you can watch it on YouTube, or you can download higher-quality versions from us (WMP9 or QuickTime, both a bit under 15 mb). Pretty nice! (Louis Wu 17:19:08 UTC)
February 11, 2008 Link to this post Entertaining vids for your Monday morning Obienator found a couple of funny vids from female gamers - you can watch OboeCrazy's funny ode to 'Standers' (folks who join social matchmaking and don't actually play, assuming that at least some of the time they'll finish in the top 3 and thereby gain an experience point without having to participate), and you can check out Little Miss Gamer's review of Gitaroo Man. Wait, what does Gitaroo Man have to do with Halo, you might wonder? Well, there's a really fun hand-drawn intro for this review which has Little Miss Gamer playing Rocket Race in Matchmaking. Check 'em out! (Louis Wu 14:23:50 UTC)

February 9, 2008 Link to this post Arby 'n' Chief Episode 4
Spartan Jag was the first to notice that DigitalPh33r's Arby 'n' Chief Episode 4 was up at Machinima.com (you can also find it on YouTube - thanks, Vincent). Topical - it focuses on melee attacks, and how they work (or don't). Arby'll probably take less verbal abuse by the end of the month... (Louis Wu 13:38:07 UTC)
