(If your spoiler settings have reverted to 'no spoilers', you can use the 'Change this!' link to reset them - sorry about that.) Ian simmons sent us a link to a couple of vids by FarhanK501 on YouTube - some background visits between the Arbiter and the Prophets. Hmm... (Louis Wu 17:21:56 UTC)
December 30, 2008 Link to this post Top 10 Halo 3 Sticks: Episode 18
Anoj has posted his final Top 10 video of the year - Episode 18 is Top 10 Sticks, and I think it's worth reading Hawty McBloggy's commentary before watching. I thought #5 was pretty funny, myself. (Louis Wu 14:06:54 UTC)
December 29, 2008 Link to this post Halo Trek 2.0
A few weeks ago, BlueNinja mashed up some Halo cutscene clips and recreated the latest Star Trek trailer. Today, he's back, with higher-quality clips, and editing tweaks - he gives you Halo Trek 2.0, which I enjoyed more than the original. Go watch! (Louis Wu 19:44:09 UTC)
December 29, 2008 Link to this post A Change of Plans
Tyler, from Young Street Productions, let us know that Forecast Episode 9 (the season finale), is now online. Craig and crew needs to stop Timmy before the weather station is destroyed! (Take a gander at the bonus Zoom video, Tunnel Time, when you're done - unless you've got a weak stomach.) (Louis Wu 16:57:58 UTC)
December 29, 2008 Link to this post Pwn You Again
Max Capo told us that he's created a Miley Cyrus parody - he's redone the song 'See You Again' as a Halo 3 montage called 'Pwn You Again'. (I had to do a YouTube search for the original to compare.) His singing could use a little work - but it's not a bad effort! Take a look. (Louis Wu 14:18:44 UTC)
December 28, 2008 Link to this post DigitalPh33r's Holiday Special: Part 1
This was released on Thursday, but it's pretty funny - DigitalPh33r posted the first half of a Holiday Special, riffing off his work (at least one of the jokes requires having watched the Machinima.com Holiday Video to get). It's only 2 minutes long - go watch! (Louis Wu 16:09:20 UTC)
December 28, 2008 Link to this post Recovery One - Remade Ben, the web guy over at Rooster Teeth, has been recreating the RvB Recovery One miniseries in the Halo 3 engine. I think he's doing a pretty impressive job, especially considering he's not using any of the extra post-production stuff that the Rooster Teeth crew used. You can watch Episode 1 here, and Episode 2 here. (Both are in 720p goodness.) (Louis Wu 15:28:33 UTC)
December 28, 2008 Link to this post Halo 3 Mythbusters: Episode 8 RandomSauce let us know that the latest iteration of Halo 3 Mythbusters is now up - some really cool stuff in there! (One of the quirkier myths - not particularly useful, but interesting - is that a splatter in a Hornet on Avalanche will register as a cone kill on B.net - I just found this out myself, last night. My 'cone kill' in that game was actually a Hornet splatter.) This is one of my favorite series!

December 27, 2008 Link to this post Inside Halo Episode 28
AvatarAang let us know that the latest Inside Halo is now online - Halo news, a Top 5 list, and top plays of the... however long it's been. Go watch. (Louis Wu 16:56:32 UTC)
December 26, 2008 Link to this post Pacifist Speed Runs at HSH
NOKYARD, of High Speed Halo, wrote to say that the Pacifist Speed Run table is now online. These runs do not allow pulling triggers, grenades or melee of any kind - you might wonder what folks are doing not shooting in a first person SHOOTER, but hey, it IS the season of peace. Go read about these runs on HSH, or just get to downloading. (Louis Wu 19:35:29 UTC)
December 26, 2008 Link to this post Dark Side
FireDragon04 let us know that he's got a new Halo 3 machinima short up on YouTube. His description to me suggested that the video "follows a very confusing un-linear story and doesn't explain anything but lets everyone take away their own conclusion to the video" - pretty accurate. Go see if you like it. (Louis Wu 19:31:20 UTC)
December 26, 2008 Link to this post HD Halo CGI
Nabsuh stopped into our forum with a pretty obscure teaser for his upcoming project - there's enough there to whet your appetite, but not enough to really let you know what's going on. (Isn't that what a teaser is all about?) Go watch. (Louis Wu 18:19:04 UTC)
December 26, 2008 Link to this post Bungie Xmas Tribute
urk stopped in this morning to highlight a Bungie Christmas Tribute from a couple of fans - a fun Rube Goldberg construction on Avalanche. Check it out!

December 26, 2008 Link to this post Destroyer - a Montage Kral, from Halo.fr, wrote to tell us about a new montage he's edited, showing off gameplay by UFG Ninja SI - 3:33 long, available in HD format on YouTube. The music is a bit abrasive, but the editing is pretty good. Go watch! (Louis Wu 17:13:46 UTC)
December 23, 2008 Link to this post Forecast The Series: Episode 8 - The Return of Timmy
Tyler, from Young Street Productions, let us know that Forecast Episode 8 is now online - Timmy's back. Production values, as always, are quite high - good stuff. (There's also a tiny short called 'Entrapment: The Payback' which should make you grin.) (Louis Wu 14:44:53 UTC)
December 23, 2008 Link to this post The Greatest Ever
Noticed a a Halo 3 rap on YouTube - skullkruncher13 and patfan8326 talk some smack, but do it in an entertaining manner. "If life was based on Halo then I know I'd have it made." Go watch! (Louis Wu 13:33:20 UTC)
December 23, 2008 Link to this post UT3 vs Halo Dance Off
geekinabox was the first of many to point out to us a pretty amazing piece of machinima - swing by YouTube for Reilly311's 'UT3 vs Halo Dance Off'. You can probably figure out how it ends, given geekinabox's post title, and the fact that the machinima was created in the UT3 engine (described as 'the greatest game ever' in the credits)... but it's still a spectacular piece of work. Check it out! (Louis Wu 13:10:16 UTC)
December 22, 2008 Link to this post I don't think I've ever seen a Hornet teabag before.
Hawty McBloggy pointed out a pretty fun video montage showing off a nice selection of clips that do a great job of nailing down just WHY Halo 3 is so much fun. (Louis Wu 15:40:22 UTC)
December 22, 2008 Link to this post Christmas wishes for the Bungie/Halo community
John_117 let us know that he's put together a gift for the Halo community - some of our forumgoers had trouble finding the overall message, but you can just enjoy the scenery, it's a pretty vid! (Louis Wu 15:06:44 UTC)
December 21, 2008 Link to this post Tommy 92L's Christmas Special
Tommy92L dropped in to announce Tommy 92L's Christmas Special, a machinima made with HaloCE with a heartwarming message for the Holidays. Give it a look! (Louis Wu 14:23:38 UTC)
December 21, 2008 Link to this post Arby 'n' the Chief S3E05: Showdown
AvatarAang noticed that Arby and the Chief Season 3 Episode 5 is now online - MC and Craig have their 1v1 to see who's more MLG. (Louis Wu 14:23:13 UTC)
December 20, 2008 Link to this post The Second Halo Light Show
Hawty McBloggy pointed out a newer version of the Halo Light Show (we mentioned the first one back in October) - seemed a bit too heavy on the After Effects filters, but was entertaining, to some degree. Go watch! (Louis Wu 22:23:17 UTC)
December 20, 2008 Link to this post Inside Halo December Promo
AvatarAang pointed out a promo for an upcoming episode of Inside Halo - live-action Chief working out? Ooookay... (Louis Wu 14:16:13 UTC)
December 18, 2008 Link to this post Cool Sniper Kills
Yet another Top 10 video has come out - this one was made by KillPie, and covers Sniper Kills. I don't think I'd consider them 'Top 10' caliber, unless we were talking about, say, Top 10 of the day or something... but they're fun, and the video's in HD. Thanks, urk. (Louis Wu 22:18:48 UTC)
December 18, 2008 Link to this post Halo Wars footage from Kiwibox
Kiwibox.com held a contest with the winner being brought to Manhattan to meet Graeme Devine and play Halo Wars - there's a film showing off some new campaign footage, along with lots of questions and answers. Thanks, 2900d4u.
