The World Of Halo 4
Game Informer continues their Halo 4 coverage - yesterday's offering was a look at the campaign. There's not a lot of info there that hasn't already been released (well, it might be new if you haven't read their print article) - but the concept art that goes along with the text is truly beautiful. Go read! (Unless, of course, you're trying to stay blind for the game's release. For folks who don't want to know anything about what they'll be facing - skip this one.) Thanks, nillapuddin. Mail Sack 14
Bungie posted a new Mail Sack last night. As always, it's a great read - both for the humor and the insight into the minds of the employees who participate. The only bit of Halo-related content is a plea to stop demanding clues about unfound Halo easter eggs. (::sadface::) Go read! (Tom Van Sinden 15:46:57 UTC)

Breaking In: Alex Loret de Mola
The latest Breaking In article at Bungie.net is Halo-free (as many recent ones have been) - but the spotlight is on Alex Loret de Mola, a new Web Engineer, and his route to his recent success is one that might resonate with a lot of people. (Web engineers are near and dear to my heart, for what should be pretty obvious reasons.) Go read. And if you like what you read, and want to help Bungie take over the world, check their Jobs page. Yes, it's true. Bungie loves you.
I definitely have to question Sawnose's timing... but I tip my hat to his attitude. Over on Bungie.net, he posted a tutorial showing how you can keep your Reach player model updated on Bungie.net, even though Bungie no longer has access to any of the back-end data. They've put in a tool that will allow you to MANUALLY update to your current model - now THAT'S fan love! (The Bungie.net version is higher-res than the 343 version, and has your Spartan holding a DMR instead of an AR. In addition, the B.net model has the potential to be downloaded as a rotating video, though I haven't been able to test that yet, since it requires seeing the updated avatar first, and I'm still waiting - on both B.net and Waypoint.) Go read his post for full details! Thanks to bobs99 over at NeoGAF for noticing. (Tom Van Sinden 16:58:23 UTC)

Shooting Aliens in the Face - for Money
The latest Breaking In article at Bungie.net focuses on Nate Hawbacker (who posted for quite some time around these parts as Veegie - he's still got a Gallery page here); go read it for tips on how HE got a job at Bungie, and what that might mean for your OWN hopes. (Even if you aren't interested in working in the industry, these articles are a fascinating glimpse into the lives of the people who make the games we play.) Hats off to you, Nate! Deep Blue
Over at Bungie.net, there's a group called 'Sapphire'; I can't really figure out what makes them differennt from other groups, except that they're big, and they talk a lot. They were chosen this week for a Ride-Along - DeeJ and some other Bungie folks followed them into Halo 3 for some custom gaming... and discussion. Go read! (Louis Wu 20:12:51 UTC)
