Wil Gieseler let us know that version 3.0 of mindquirk software's Xbox Live Friends, a Mac OSX program that lets you access your friends list from your Mac) has been out for a bit - lots of new features, like gamerscore charts, sortable achievements, access to your XBL messages and more. A pretty cool custom faceplate
bs angel (you may recognize the name - she's a Cavegirl that hangs with the Bungie guys sometimes, she's played some Humpday challenges) recently had a custom Halo faceplate created by Pavel Dolgov. McFarlane Details

Soup To Nuts, from Sketch
Game Informer talked to Brian Jarrard recently about the beta - go read the interview. (He mentions numbers in the interview; he says "I wouldn't be surprised if a couple hundred thousand people log in and try the beta at some point in time." According to Bungie.net right now, there have been 246,940 Halo 3 players in the last 24 hours - and remember, the Crackdown problem wasn't fixed until about 10 pm EST last night (on a weekday) - 3 AM on the other side of the Atlantic!)
