UT3 vs Halo Dance Off
geekinabox was the first of many to point out to us a pretty amazing piece of machinima - swing by YouTube for Reilly311's 'UT3 vs Halo Dance Off'. You can probably figure out how it ends, given geekinabox's post title, and the fact that the machinima was created in the UT3 engine (described as 'the greatest game ever' in the credits)... but it's still a spectacular piece of work. Colm Nelson, Part 2 - The design behind the design
A few weeks ago, we mentioned part one of an interview with Colm Nelson, Halo 3's Interaction Designer. Part two has now been posted (thanks, Nidonocu). It's got some really interesting information about how the social interaction portions of Halo 3's AI were built - I hope other game designers read this, because very few games have a system of playing together over time that works as well as the Halo series.
