Showing results 1701 - 1708 of 1708 matches March 4, 2004 Link to this post [T]rickity trick trick. goatrope and Devin, along with venom, essex, nukedude, and ziggy, have put together a new Tricks-filled movie showing how to get out of various Halo PC multiplayer levels, or use clipping glitches to get into walls, or... well, go watch. The movie is 3:32 long, and weighs in at 39.3 mb in DivX format. There are a pair of mirrors listed in this forum post; I decided we could probably host this, but I felt the encoding was a little wasteful; you can find a 31.8 mb QuickTime version (still pretty huge - it was a rush job) on files.bungie.org. September 15, 2003 Link to this post MacGamer scores the Halo goods Very cool. Last week, MacGamer visited the home of Phil Sulak, the president of Westlake Interactive. They walked away with a lot of video. There's 13 minute Halo-specific vid (available in a 70 mb version and a 10 mb version), with a TON of information about where the Mac port stands and what it's gonna need. Definitely a good thing to watch for those waiting for the Mac version. There's also an 11 minute long interview with Phil Sulak, Ken Cobb, and Duane Johnson discussing Westlake in general (with a goodly amount of Halo info). This one weighs in at 63 mb or 9 mb, depending on whether you get the broadband or dialup versions. If you're a Mac gamer, or you're interested in how some of the PC-specific features implemented by Gearbox are going to be translated to the Mac, go watch these! (Louis Wu 13:53:48 UTC)
May 13, 2003 Link to this post It's not easy bein' green Okay, everyone's jonesin' for some Halo 2 goodness, and not everyone's gettin' their fix... but the old world must go on, as well. Mythica's server load is back down to human levels, so it's time to release another movie. This one's called 'Bein' Green' - and it sets some basic MC action to a backdrop of Muppet music. I've got a soft spot in my heart for frogs these days... so go watch it. 2:20 long, 9.6 mb big, QuickTime format. (Louis Wu 14:59:36 UTC)
April 5, 2003 Link to this post Red vs Blue is back! I completely forgot to post this yesterday - but it's hilarious, and you HAVE to go watch it. Back in September, the guys who ran Drunkgamers.com started a project called 'Red vs. Blue: The Blood Gulch Chronicles'. It generated a lot of interest, at the time... but then the project dropped off the radar screens, and drunkgamers dropped offline. Until this week. They've come back at a new location - redvsblue.com - and have some brand-new content for you. There is an intro for the series (ranging in size from a 5.7 mb 360x240 QuickTime version to a 17 mb 720x480 DivX version), plus 'Episode 1: Why are we here?' (16 - 40 megs, depending on version). If you're offended by cursing, this might not be for you... but I found it laugh-out-loud funny. If bandwidth gets tight, we're happy to mirror these... so let us and the RedvsBlue team know, so that we can coordinate new links. They're planning on doing 3 a month, if they can keep up - releases will be on Fridays. (Louis Wu 11:45:45 UTC)
January 13, 2003 Link to this post He's just a boy. Gah - sometimes, the updates get away from you. While you're all waiting for me to clear out the art queues, the fiction queues, the screenshot queue... go watch this movie. Figh7erbo1 is a short (1:39) piece set to Avril Lavigne's Sk8ter Boi... nice timing. 6 mb, in QT format, from chris_roc. (Louis Wu 20:08:39 UTC)
September 9, 2002 Link to this post I hate it when that happens... Adam Russin and Brian Rosenberg have created a film called 'Oh Shit!' I'm too tired to figure out if it meets our Movie Posting Guidelines - but I enjoyed it, so I'm posting it. So there. It's only available in .wmv format, unfortunately - it's 3:18 long, and 12.5 mb big. You can get it at Project Mjolnir, where it was posted first, or you can grab a copy from Mythica.org. Tomorrow, I promise, I'll get cracking on the movies that need to be added to our Movie Database. (We have news of several other movies that have been made recently; it's all been backburnered due to the obscenely high demand for the Halo 2 trailer, but we're going to start letting you know about some of it in the near future.) In the meantime, go watch this film... it's fun. :) (Louis Wu 02:21:45 UTC)
September 7, 2001 Link to this post Cockroaches and Camera Takeovers... TeamXbox has put up high-quality .asf versions of the three Xbox movies shown last night - the first one reminded me a lot of the 1984 Apple ad, in style, but the other two... well, go watch 'em for yourself. Not sure what sort of message they're trying to put out, with a very odd man converting a computer chip into a cockroach as he says "Their eyes shall be blinded by the weight of my devotions, and all that has passed before shall be changed forever."
but they're certainly not shooting for the 7-13 crowd... Thanks, Adam Daniel, for the heads-up! (Louis Wu 17:27:41 UTC)
January 7, 2000 Link to this post Major kudos to JosephAW for posting Bungie TV's 3rd telecast on his new Mac.com web site at http://homepage.mac.com/josephaw/. Joseph has both Day 2 and Day 3 archived. Go watch that Halo movie! :-) (Wirehead 21:32:47 UTC)
