Not long ago, OboeCrazy set up a Kickstarter project to expand her Musiter offerings - she'd promised to deliver more Halo content, if funded. She was funded - and delivery starts now. Halo 1 Single Segment Speedrun - under 80 mins
Wow. SlYnki stopped in with a link to a new vid - this one sets the record for fastest single-segment Halo (first game) runthrough on Easy. RVideo was the first to point out Global, a new community montage from Mattisson. There is some pretty amazing editing on this one, coupled with great gameplay and astounding audio synching - my only real complaint is that some of the clips are too short to really get a handle on. From a Distance
Owen Thomas, from VezuviusProductions, let us know about From a Distance - it's a Halo 3 tribute. I'm not sure you can really call it a montage; it takes a rather unique approach to showing gameplay on Halo 3 maps. It picks a fixed vantage point on each map, places a camera there... then shows some multiplayer carnage from that viewpoint. Gives you a cool sort of overview of map flow! Last summer, during HaloFest, Juan Gonzalez from HaloDestiny sat down with Marty O'Donnell for a 30-minute video interview - it's full of fun details. If you love Marty's compositions, and you want to know more about him and how he works... go watch! Thanks, TheOddOne. (Side note: about 18 and a half minutes in, Marty talks about "The Halo 1 Love Theme" - if you've never heard it, Marty released it, along with a bunch of other outtakes, back in 2002.
