New content from GI emerges
Game Informer has begun to release its month-long flood of Halo 4 info on its Halo 4 Hub - there's a trailer for what's to come (thanks, Pok3R Fac3D), and a great pair of videos focusing on Sotaro Tojima, Halo 4's audio director: the first is on the hub itself, the second is a bonus on YouTube. From Lurker to Leader: A Frags to Riches Story
We've mentioned the Lurker to Leader Panel at PAX a couple of times, because our own GrimBrother One was up on stage - but it's not until today that we can give you a link to actually WATCH it for yourself. GrifballHub's Goose Checka (the impetus behind this particular panel in the first place) let us know that the entire hour-long conversation is now up on YouTube. This discussion is near and dear to my heart; its core is all about how fan communities are managed, and how good leaders can help them grow. Every one of the panelists is someone I look up to as an example of fantastic fan leadership, and while I wish I could have been there in person this past Friday, to watch them live, getting to see this video takes away much of the sting. Rooster Teeth Goodies from PAX East
PAX East is well underway at this point, and although I can't find video footage of the Community Panel that our own GrimBrother One participated in (yet), there are some interesting clips up on the official PAX Live Stream. The Rooster Teeth crew showed a scene from Season 10 yesterday - if you'd rather see it in its hi-res glory, wait until it's out for real (Memorial Day 2012 is when the season kicks off), but if you're just dying for a taste, the action's pretty hot. There's also a film of the full Rooster Teeth panel (which starts with a trailer for RvB Season 10 - no spoilers here - and also contains the scene mentioned above). Go watch! Fallout's Halo Reach Montage: Invincible
Fallout sent us a note asking us to check out his first Reach montage - I enjoyed it a lot! (There were a couple of moments where the editing tried to be TOO much in synch with the music, and I lost track of what was going on - but for the most part, there was great gameplay, some really funny moments, and an overall positive vibe.) Repopulate Halo 3 - April 7
A couple of weeks ago, we got a note from Chris, letting us know about an event being planned by the Halo subcommunity at Reddit. On April 7, there will be a push to repopulate the Halo 3 servers and revisit this classic (and still-online!) title. We held off on posting news about for fear of letting people know in time to forget. However, it's beginning to catch on in other parts of the Halo community, so maybe now's a good time. Greenskull has just posted a video exhorting you to participate - go watch! (While you're watching Greenskull, he also posted a video summarizing the Wraparound info from the Halo Bulletin - you know, in case you don't actually read.)
