Free Ts for the patient at TGS
If you were willing to wait in line (for a long time!) to play Halo 3: ODST at the Tokyo Game Show, you got a pretty cool t-shirt. Nice! (Look for some of these on eBay soon.) Update: Kaboris (who attended the show) clarified that everyone who played got STICKERS, but only the highest score for each round got a t-shirt. ManKitten's 5th Annual Halo Treasure Hunt: Solved
I didn't even get a chance to post a front-page note for the clues ManKitten posted last night for his Treasure Hunt - there was a message this morning declaring that pete_the_duck had successfully solved the hunt. Although no prizes were announced at the start (it was all for fun), ManKitten is sending along a McFarlane Hunter model - nice!

ODST Campaign Opening from Gamersyde
Gamersyde released a 15-minute ODST presentation that they recorded at Gamerscom last week - it's filmed off the screen, but the HD downloads are quite watchable. It shows off the first cutscene from the game (if you've been watching ODST release info obsessively, you've already seen this, but it's nice that it's all in one place, and viewed at a nice resolution), and looks at a some of the early campaign gameplay. Again, all of the areas covered by this film have been seen in other show presentations, starting with E3 - but the comments from CJ Cowan and Brian Jarrard contain lots of interesting tidbits you might not know (cutscenes are rendered in real time, as you play, so that lip-synching by the characters matches up regardless of language - nice!). Use BitTorrent, if you can, for the downloads - it's the nicest option for the Gamersyde guys. Thanks to NeoGAF's Major Williams for the heads-up on this. (Louis Wu 14:32:45 UTC)

Lots of people would love to play more Halo 3 Matchmaking - but don't enjoy throwing themselves into the lion's den that is Matchmaking without friends. And sometimes you want to hook up for Campaign games, or customs, but your friends list is sparse. Never fear - HaloCharts has got your back! Heretic: Midship, confirmed
xoools pointed out that during IGN's half-hour ODST special, Joe Staten confirmed that Heretic, one of the three new Mythic maps to be released with Halo 3: ODST this fall, is indeed a remake of Halo 2's Midship. Due to some leaks in the past year, many people had already guessed that this was the case... but this is the first time that a Bungie employee has confirmed this publicly. Nice! Tricia Helfer to perform in Halo 3: ODST
Gametrailers TV debuted their E3 First Look show last night on Spike TV (thanks, LoneRanger 2.5), but you can watch it online at this point. Halo news revealed in this episode: Battlestar Galactica's Tricia Helfer (shows up at 22:55) will be voicing a character known as 'Dare' in Halo 3: ODST. Halo 3 Racing: Triton's Twist
Bungie's Blog highlighted a new racetrack last night - this one is put together by the crew at HaloEvolution, and it's called 'Triton's Twist'. Attached YouTube vid looks pretty nice! If you're new to racing, you can download a good Racetracks gametype from the folks at HaloTracks.
