An armory for the little guys
7he grunt w/a plasma pistol noticed that ThinkGeek is selling weapons for your LEGO minifigures - and several of them are Halo-related. The collection includes a Halo pistol, a plasma pistol, a needler, and an energy sword. It also includes the pulse rifle from Aliens, Megatron's Walther P38, an Auto-9 pistol from Robocop, a blaster from Blade Runner, and a phaser from Star Trek. Nice! (Louis Wu 19:14:57 UTC)

Reach Freebies
BuzzJuice found some cool info at IGN - first, it looks like the weekend of May 14 has been designated a "Halo Multiplayer Unlock Weekend", so anyone with a copy of ODST can play, whether or not they're paying for Xbox LIVE. Places to shoot people
Our policy on magazine scans is "no posts before the issue is off the newsstands" - but Morpheus stopped by with a single-page scan of a bit from a recent GameInformer, and we're gonna let it slide. (I don't actually know what issue it's from - but it's only a partial page, and even the most recent issue hit stands almost a month ago.) Halo represented in BAFTA nominations

Hints of future greatness
Adam Grumbo tells me it's not really news, but I think I disagree. He's posted some pre-production test footage the 405th crew put together while trying to see what sort of low-light capabilities their camera had. The answer seems to be 'pretty nice!' There's no script, no real plot - it's just a few minutes of test footage. The potential, however... is amazing. Folks on their forum were asking for the footage so that they could add sound/lighting effects - he's made the clip available for download on 405th.com. If you want to play, grab a copy and get modifying!

Those guys ain't gonna stop...
Some discussion was raised on our forum yesterday about the possibility that the F-99 Wombat (the unmanned drone that Bry's been taking wonderful pictures of) might not be built to scale, since it's not really intended to be seen up-close. Bry confirmed that the version in the cutscene is the same size as the ones in-game (it is), and Omega used pan-cam coordinates to calculate some actual dimensions... and yep, it looks like it was built to scale.
