Xbox Controllers, Figures coming from McFarlane
More info about the halo 3 Xbox Controllers - apparently Todd McFarlane created the artwork, and each one will be packaged with a limited edition Halo 3 figurine created by McFarlane, as well. Pretty nice! Lots of people got us this news - looks like Tango was first. (Louis Wu 14:25:10 UTC)

New H2V content at HaloMaps
Dennis Powers, of HaloMaps.org, pointed out two new maps for Halo 2 Vista from NiTrOuSoXiDe2k (who was part of the H2V team, actually), showing off how easily new maps can be made using the Halo 2 Map editor tools. Third egg on High Ground
This has come up a whole bunch of times in our forum (and, apparently, even earlier on Bungie.net's forum - thanks, Sain7) - Ibeechu finally got us a recording. From the radio that sits next to the console that has the Morse Code and Cortana's scaryface you can hear a clip from 'Under Cover of Night', from the Original Halo Soundtrack. Nice! Oh So Betaful
trigger119 pointed out a new movie he's hosting at GamingTV.org - it was created by ClearviewPro, and follows the pattern of Jamie98s' 'Oh So Beautiful' series... except with the Halo 3 Beta. That is - he's collected a bunch of footage of cool tidbits you can find around the new maps - pretty scenery, really detailed props - and set it to a Jack Johnson song. pretty nice! Photos from LA
Major Nelson (whose site has been crushed by angry Crackdown owners looking to berate someone for not being able to play right now) has posted, on Flickr, some photos of the Halo 3 Beta Event that took place in Hollywood last night. Mountain Dew Halo Fuel, Legendary helmets, a Halo 3 Zune, and cool scenery. (We were as amused by the game-specific info signs as he was - here's Mig, standing next to the Restrooms sign in New York last Friday.) Thanks to Dry Ice for the heads-up. Where Xbox Meets Lunchbox

They are keeping their heads
Next Generation sat down with Frank O'Connor to talk about the Halo 3 development process. It's an interesting read - even if it doesn't answer some of the loudest questions people are asking ("when is the beta coming out?", for example). Final Boss Give Amateurs a Taste
Final Boss, one of the best teams on the Halo pro circuit, participated in a tournament in Austin, and then gave local fans (who hadn't been playing in the tournament) a chance to see what it's like to play a top pro team. H2V gameplay from CES
Over at H2Vista, rapture noticed 3 new clips of Halo 2 Vista gameplay over at Gametrailers; There's a clip from Sanctuary, and two from Beaver Creek. The play uses an Xbox controller instead of a keyboard and mouse... but it still looks pretty nice! (Louis Wu 13:39:58 UTC)
