Halo 4 Cutscene Library Opens Cody Miller has once again recorded the latest Halo's cutscenes - in HD, and with Surround Sound. (This is tougher than you might think.) And we have, once again, begun to make these files available to the general public, for downloading, for watching, for the sake of having an easy-to-find record. Swing by our Halo 4 Cutscene Library to see the first 8 scenes! (We'll release them a bit at a time to ensure that our bandwidth isn't completely crushed.) (Louis Wu 19:49:49 UTC) (permalink)
Digital Foundry vs. Halo 4 Looks like we missed this earlier this month when it went live, but Eurogamer's Digital Foundry took a close look at Halo 4's visual tech - they came away impressed. Go read why! Thanks, Hypertrooper. (Louis Wu 19:44:25 UTC) (permalink)

Just One Flood Dongle is Enough To Infect An Entire Xbox Quirel brought to our attention an interview from earlier this year between the "Pumping Irony" blog and some of the developers who worked on Halo Wars for Ensemble Studios/Robot Entertainment. It's a fascinating read to see what was planned, and how it differed from what was launched. Check it out! (GrimBrother One 18:16:36 UTC) (permalink)
Bug-sized Bug on Spartan Ops In strange news, have you seen the Covenant's newest nefarious weapon? MINICOVIES! Multiple people have mentioned this, and I've seen it at least three times personally. He Had Something The Others Didn't CMNeir sent us a really awesome video depicting the relationship of John-117 and Cortana over the years. It's absolutely beautiful. Go watch. (GrimBrother One 17:28:50 UTC) (permalink)
Counter-Intuitive Thanks to Leisandir for mentioning a new episode from Penny Arcade's Extra Credits series entitled "Counter-Play", which takes a look at how tools and abilities in mutiplayer games should be designed not just for the people using them, but also for the people playing against them. It's a very interesting idea and some excellent points are raised. We'd also encourage you to take a look at Leisandir's post itself for some good thoughts about how this applies to Halo's multiplayer, in both positive and negative ways. Go check it out! New Runs from haloHISTORY We've mentioned the drone-riding HaloHISTORY100 before for his antics in Halo 3. This time, Hypertrooper let us know that the speedrunner is back with some new tricks for Halo 4. The "turn-the-tables" assassination was awesome. Go and check them out!
