Taking to the Skies
halosavior pointed out an interview with Richard 'Major.Dump' Boisvert, the CGI guy behind some of the new space scenes in the most recent episodes of Edgework Entertainment's The Heretic. CVG is very bored.
CVG posted a review of Halo 2 Vista - they were very, very disappointed. It uses words like 'soulless', 'tiresome', 'lazy', 'clueless', 'repulsive'... ouch. Guess the Release Date
Simpsons Rule has decided to give away a Halo 3 Legendary Edition package - to the person who can guess the release date of Halo 3. (He got the idea from c0ld vengeance.) He kicked this off last night, but it seems a lot of people aren't bothering (or aren't able) to check which dates are taken - so I put up a quick page which should help. Caveat - this is not updated in real time, so it's POSSIBLE you'll still end up picking a date that's already gone - but it should help a little. If you've already voted, you should make sure that the date you picked is, in fact, assigned to you; if it's not, and your post is earlier than the one I've linked, feel free to email. - Associated Content discusses some of the changes between Halo 2 and Halo 3 (I don't know where their info comes from, in some cases)

- Gametrailers has a two-part walkthrough (thanks, Nevan) - Lars Bakken plays and talks (and dies a lot, because it's really hard to narrate and pwn at the same time)

- Eurogamer has put up a screenshot gallery of beta shots, and posted a First Impressions article
- MSNBC was in New York for the press event Friday
- MyGEN has posted a Hands-On
- The BBC's Darren Waters (he's written a number of Halo articles in the past) has been playing the Beta all weekend, and has written up some of his thoughts
