More Halo Sheet Music BitMaP sent a note about a transcription he's done for Remembrance (a beautiful piece that can be found on the Halo 2 Soundtrack). Looks like there's quite a bit more on the way, as well... keep an eye on the site! (Louis Wu 19:03:38 UTC) (permalink)
They can't win. I find this intriguing... recently, GamaSutra offered a Question of the Week, in which they asked readers to discuss the most creative games of 2004 (thanks, Rampancy.net). What interested me was that out of all responses, only one person is quoted as having anything good to say about Halo 2 - and that person prefaces his comments with 'I know I'll take flak for this...'. Around the gaming community, there is talk of Microsoft adoptiong Bungie's innovations with respect to XBL for ALL upcoming games - love matchmaking or hate it, you cannot argue with its novelty and departure from the norm - and yet, when gaming professionals are asked to comment on creativity, they're apologetic when they mention this. Bungie has become the team you love to root against - the 800 pound gorilla of the gaming world, the 'they can't be cool because they're so popular' group. I don't know if that amuses or annoys me... No 'We' in Team Looks like there's a new Subzero Rivalries up over at Evilburger.net - and someone has a bone to pick with random team matchmaking. Thanks, MarkHawk. (Louis Wu 15:31:02 UTC) (permalink)
A router just for gamers 3Suns pointed out a review of the D-Link Wireless 108G Gaming Router over at TeamXbox; it comes with some built-in enhancements that help gamers, and some of them work very well with Xbox Live. They did some specific Halo 2-based tests to see how well things worked. If you're totally serious about having the best connection possible, and money is no object, read this review. We'll be posting mirrors if they decide they need them; this one's quite nicely done. (Louis Wu 01:41:37 UTC) (permalink)
Custom Tourneys - and More Wow. Go check it out! (Louis Wu 01:32:19 UTC) (permalink)
