You can read the press release here on our site, or visit the Xbox.com page devoted to this event. Thanks, Ted. (Louis Wu 17:22:20 UTC) (permalink)

Truth and Recon Suite, annotated The Halo Sheet Music collection at Rampancy.net has grown again; Spencer "Poop Scoop" Anunsen has submitted the theme from the Truth & Reconciliation Suite. Registration (free) required for download. This one comes in a 3-pack; you get a Midi file, a .mus file (I don't know what can read this on a Mac), and a PDF. Go grab it! If it's Tuesday, it must be Metropolis The next chapter of Mike Miller's Legendary Walkthrough has gone live - find the hints that will get you through Metropolis, a gorgeous - though limited in exploration potential - level. There are 5 movies this time around, highlighting some of the strengths - and pitfalls - of the gameplay here. Mike has also added a bit to the Introduction; be sure to scan it for an extra tip! Update: Oops, sorry, the movie filenames were mis-capitalized, and so the links didn't work. Fixed! Reload the Metropolis page for the corrections. (Louis Wu 13:05:11 UTC) (permalink)
Finders Keepers Stryke Force, an up-and-coming machinima series, has just released episode 3, 'Finders Keepers'. If you haven't seen these yet, go watch episodes one and two first - this series is among the best out there, in terms of production quality and voice acting. Episode 3 continues the hunt for Venom - you'd be amazed at how big Blood Gulch really is. The download is currently WMP9-only, but I've already shot them a QuickTime version, so hold tight. Visit their forum for the latest download! (The WMP9 is 26.1 mb, just under 6 minutes long.) Update: The QuickTime link is now up, in the same forum post that contains the WMP9. If you want this right now, you need to register for their forums (free). If you don't want to register, the movies should be available via direct download soon. (Louis Wu 11:43:11 UTC) (permalink)
Halo 2 Timeline Whoa. Our very own Count Zero created a Halo 2 timeline in an attempt to reconcile the two parallel storylines running through the game. Take a look at this - it might help you put some pieces together! (Louis Wu 11:30:34 UTC) (permalink)
It ain't just babies any more. There's a pretty big Fan Art update over at Halo Babies; 13 pieces of gallery art, another large handful of fan strips and sketches. mrsmiley's done a great job of delineating all the new work; go look! Some spectacular stuff in there... (Louis Wu 10:19:16 UTC) (permalink)
The Halo2CE Project - Spotlighted There is a MASSIVE piece over at Bungie.net about HaloCE, and one of the most ambitious teams out there working with it - SketchFactor sat down for some serious in-depth interviews with the folks behind the Halo2CE project. NiTrOuSoXiDe, Mrs. Doublefire, Farsight, Kornman00, JamesD, Stefander, Kerr Halla, Supreme Taco, ZexGX, and rec0 all talk about how they got started, what they do for the team, and why they're at it. Their two major projects - New Mombasa (a recreation of the E3 2003 level, complete with Halo 2 weapons and armor) and Zanzibar (a near-perfect replica of the Halo 2 level) are out or updated this evening - visit the website to download copies. (They're 25 mb each, and this story is going to get a LOT of reads at B.net... so be patient.) Beyond the interviews, there's a whole chunk of info about Halo CE and what it's all about; longtime readers of this site might not need this recap, but there are plenty of folks who found Halo after Halo 2 was released; a summary of what's out there for the PC is a good thing. Go check it out! (Louis Wu 02:59:20 UTC) (permalink)
