Eep - almost missed it! The third installment of Tyrant's Summer Mythic Recon Challenge goes live tomorrow - The Storm is the level you'll be fighting with (literally). Win, and the coveted Recon armor is yours. More details are available on Bungie.net. (Louis Wu 23:53:48 UTC) (permalink)
Dave Candland - not dumb or lazy as a sack of bricks The latest Broken In article at Bungie focuses on Dave Candland, Interface Designer nonpareil. Honoring Bungie Day, Fan-Style FyreWulff is going to try and hit 7,777 games played on Xbox LIVE on Bungie Day, July 7 - he's starting tomorrow morning. (As of right now, he's got 7,343 games played - I don't think he could have asked for a better (more Bungie-ish) starting place.) He's got 12 days to play 434 games... that's a non-trivial task, given that he's planning on playing every single one of those as legit games. (If you figure 10 minutes a game, average, you're looking at 72 hours of playing time, spread over 12 days - that's 6 hours per day, every day.) If you play with him during this time (and aren't disqualified by a few simple rules), you're in the running for some cool prizes. Check out his post for all the details! Halo 3 ODST Drop Pod - in Banjo: Kazooie
CaLL Me ZeNy, who, apparently, is angling for the HBO foreign correspondent position, let us know about an interpretation of the ODST mechanic in Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts. The guy's still gotta work on that landing (I'd hate to be in the pod when it hits), but the drop is pretty cool! (Louis Wu 13:43:19 UTC) (permalink)

What the French, Episode 5
CaLL Me ZeNy pointed out What the French, Episode 5 - another collection of 'wtf' moments in Matchmaking, this time with French titles. The action's still universally understandable, though... go watch! (Louis Wu 13:42:15 UTC) (permalink)
