In which Joe and Pete did WHAT?
Bungie has posted their newest podcast, doing a post-E3 wrapup, discussing the highlights and low points of the week in LA, along with their normal shenanigans. The podcast weighs in at 1:17 long, 77 mb (COINCIDENCE? I THINK NOT) - go grab a copy! (Louis Wu 22:58:34 UTC) (permalink)
Ten FTW Halo 3 Sniper Kills KillPie put together an episode of Ten FTW - this one is Top 10 Halo 3 Sniper Kills. While a collection like this will NEVER feature me, I can still appreciate the lightning-fast reflexes and pinpoint accuracy in some of these clips. Go watch! Thanks to Hawty McBloggy, who brings her own special brand of commentary to the table. (Louis Wu 22:31:18 UTC) (permalink)
Prevalent use of local sandstone, indeed
bluerunner noticed a Top 10 feature at Architects Journal that looks at architecture in computer games - and Halo/Halo 2 show up in the fourth position. Nice! (Louis Wu 22:24:00 UTC) (permalink)
Wednesday Afternoon at the Movies, Redux
Two more vids for you on the Bungie Blog this afternoon - it's wonderful when I leave! Walshypru built a Rube-Goldberg golf ball path... and Lanman94 posted a montage of the Forge Cafe vs Forge Hub faceoff last week. Go watch! (Louis Wu 22:21:04 UTC) (permalink)
McFarlane Series 6 Exclusives Fragclone noticed a new page over at Spawn.com - it discusses the upcoming Series 6 exclusive images in McFarlane's Halo 3 Action Figure line. The image links don't work - but the text is fine, and contains information about where each exclusive will be sold. Update: Pictures fixed. (Louis Wu 18:54:25 UTC) (permalink)
Community Spotlight: Major League Driving
It's Wednesday, so it's time for another Community Spotlight - this week, it shines on Major League Driving, a group committed to vehicular mayhem in Halo 3. Go read about the group, and check out their Favorites! (Louis Wu 18:51:38 UTC) (permalink)

Outpost: Isil Episode 12
Paul 'Bzerker01' Shelley let us know that Outpost: Isil Episode 12 - Losing Faith - is now available for download from the Treeskunk Productions website. Lots of plot developments! (Louis Wu 18:18:08 UTC) (permalink)
The Death of Fantasy
Halopen Films has released 'The Death of Fantasy' - a very long (33 minutes) silent, black and white Halo 3 machinima, done in the style of early silent movies. Ambitious! You can find a full-length version on Vimeo, or a four-part version (1 | 2 | 3 | 4) on YouTube. There's also audio commentary (and other options) in this thread at Halopen. Thanks, Firestorm12. ODST Achievements... 'leaked' (not really)
darthbob pointed out a new YouTube video, purporting to show off the Halo 3: ODST Achievements. If this were real, I'd hesitate to post it; Bungie has not released this information yet, and many Bungie fans don't take kindly to being spoiled early. However, I'm pretty confident this is a fake - albeit a really nicely done fake. The inconsistencies in the text give it away - but I'll say that the artwork is spectacular! I'd love higher-res versions of those Achievement icons - they're fantastic! (Check the thread for lots of indications of why these aren't real.) (Louis Wu 13:11:18 UTC) (permalink)
Halo RPG Beta
Angryfacing let us know that he's launched a Halo RPG game - you need to sign up on the forums to be allowed in. (Louis Wu 13:10:40 UTC) (permalink)
Tomorrow
Tommy92L put together 'Tomorrow', a Halo CE machinima built to provide the feel of Halo 3: ODST. Very moody... feels great! Go watch, it's only two minutes. (Louis Wu 12:46:18 UTC) (permalink)
