Halo 3: Knocking on Heaven's Door
Flud stopped by to point out 'Halo 3: Knocking on Heaven's Door', from The DuoGroup. Available in high-quality streaming DivX from their site, or on YouTube. It's actually a pretty nice piece of work! Go watch. (Louis Wu 19:24:09 UTC) (permalink)
Step right up!
Sticky Keys and TheIronChef have put together another Halo 3 data script - this one compares some key statistics in multiplayer to another gamertag. Check out the documentation link; it's interesting to see how they calculated their values! Thanks, BuckHijo. (Louis Wu 19:10:27 UTC) (permalink)

Halo 3 on the Cheap
According to Xbox360Fanboy, you can pick up a copy of Halo 3 at Best Buy this week for just $38. Noice! (Louis Wu 18:56:01 UTC) (permalink)
Halo 3 vs Call of Duty 4: someone can't count. I'm a little confused; news all over the web has Activision claiming that Call of Duty 4 was the biggest-selling title in 2007, with "more than seven million units since its launch in November" (the official press release is here, at GamesIndustry.biz, for example). But didn't Major Nelson tell us 3 days into January that Halo 3 had sold 8.1 million copies? NPD's reports are not accessible to non-subscribers, so I can't access the lists these people are using to build their numbers... but something seems fishy. Update: Smurfa points out that Gamespot, too, noticed this discrepancy, and speculated that the CoD numbers are copies actually sold to consumers, vs Halo numbers which are simply numbers shipped to retailers. (This is just speculation - but it seems feasible. Hopefully, clarification will be forthcoming.) (Louis Wu 18:51:33 UTC) (permalink)
How Long Have They Known? Remember - One One Se7en contains Halo 3 spoilers these days. Nuggets of wisdom, too. (Annnnd... that's it for a bit. I've got jury duty today, which is why all queued news is being posted before 7 am my time. Be good.) (Louis Wu 11:50:56 UTC) (permalink)

MC Sculpture - Finished
A few weeks ago, we mentioned a ceramic sculpture being crafted by SnprTw - she's finished it, and posted a final picture in our forum. Great work! (Louis Wu 11:45:36 UTC) (permalink)

Call it Halo, they'll come play
A bizarre little Flash game popped up in my Google Alerts this morning - it's described as "Halo 3: 1st Boss Encounter!!!!!" - but there's really nothing Halo-related about it. (And it takes a minute or two to beat it.) (Louis Wu 11:41:07 UTC) (permalink)
Sniper
TTL Demagogue is back in the saddle, after some health issues - Chapter Three, Part One of his Reclaimer series is now online. I'm not sure I understand the gamertag info left on the shots... but I'm sure it'll all become clear in time. (Louis Wu 11:35:32 UTC) (permalink)
