Master Chief and his Johnson ST let us know about 'Master Chief and his Johnson', a movie by SirTopEmHat. You can watch it at MLG's Gameroom, as ST suggested, or you can download a full-sized version from Halo3Forum.com (in WMP9 format). And, because we're like that, we're offering a QuickTime version, as well. (Louis Wu 20:10:57 UTC) (permalink)
If their website's down now, how about in 500 years?
Jordan117 found another real-world link between Bungie's in-game assets and Africa. This sort of attention to detail (on Bungie's part) is awesome. And on Jordan117's part... wow.

If my 360 weren't hidden, I'd buy one.
Hawty "I scour eBay so you don't have to" McBloggy found a couple of cool-looking Halo faceplates for your Xbox 360. Go spend money! (Louis Wu 19:33:04 UTC) (permalink)
News Log talks, MC listens
Log.TV has a new program called News Log, and a couple of weeks ago, they interviewed Master Chief. Well, sort of. I'm not sure if his mic was broken, or what... but the guy redefined the word 'stonefaced'. Go watch! (Louis Wu 19:06:11 UTC) (permalink)
A Bug In The Game? Stuntmutt looks at one of our larger Halo 3 foes in today's One One Se7en. (Louis Wu 17:06:26 UTC) (permalink)
Thumbs Up for the MC
rapture went to Las Vegas. To gamble? Nope. To check out the 47 Cirque du Soleil shows? Nope. He went to check out Master Chief. And take pictures. Go rap. (Louis Wu 17:05:29 UTC) (permalink)
Do you want the Kortana?
Hawty McBloggy tackles the mystery of the unlockable Katana you can add to your avatar with the right Achievements - why do people want it? DO people want it? Can it help you get to the middle of a Tootsie Pop? Some good questions in there - go read! (Louis Wu 10:35:45 UTC) (permalink)
Another Topps Auction
A couple of days ago, we mentioned an auction for a Topps original sketch card. That auction is still going on (5 more days, current bid is $150) - but there's a new one: Kevin's posted a sketch of a Spartan in EVA armor. You've got five and a half days on this one, no bids yet (starting bid is $150, as well). Check it out! (Louis Wu 10:29:39 UTC) (permalink)
Kotaku meets Gizmodo, on the field of battle
Another big Halo 3 fight took place last night - Gizmodo took on Kotaku, in a grudge match. (Here's Gizmodo's piece, and here's Kotaku's.) Ex-Kotaku writer Luke Smith (yes, the same Luke Smith who beat up on poor defenseless Bungie.net admins the night before) was there, playing for his old blog. Apparently, he played pretty well - but not well enough to carry his team to victory; Gizmodo took the best-of-seven series 4 games to 2. Fun reads!

The Finale
Z let us know about 'The Finale', a Farewell-to-Halo 2 montage from Phurion, Drako, Kblocker & Kfost. Weighs in at nearly 300 mb - but there's some pretty nice gameplay in the 13 minute monster. The last section has some less-than-successful trick attempts, which are fun to watch, as well. (Louis Wu 10:13:26 UTC) (permalink)
I Am Legendereh
Cinema Blend is giving away a copy of the Halo 3 Legendary Edition - swing by to read the rigorous rules! (Bottom line: if you live in the US, can read, and have an IQ above about 50, you've got a shot.)

Friday's Fanfic Thirteen new pieces are up in the Fan Fiction section this week - go see what you can find! And while we're on the subject of fan fiction, garbageman44 stopped by yesterday to point out a book written by his brother that they're scanning and posting at DeviantART. Halo 3: the stats are huge.
The September hardware and software numbers are out, as expected... and Halo 3 (and the Xbox 360) had a pretty amazing month. Visit this page at Video Game Chartz for a comparison between two of the bigger names in industry stats. Bottom line - as of a couple of weeks ago, Halo 3 had sold somewhere between 3 and 3.5 million copies in the US and Canada alone. That's a LOT of Master Chiefs. (The same region picked up more than half a million Xbox 360s, beating analyst predictions by a healthy margin.) (Louis Wu 09:40:21 UTC) (permalink)
Lego Arbiter
Ca'gerrin built a Lego Arbiter, and then stopped by to tell us about it. Pretty nice! (Louis Wu 09:28:03 UTC) (permalink)
Humpday Challenge? Hardly.
Bungie, apparently unwilling to face any of the hundreds of community teams clamoring for a shot at burying them in a Humpday challenge, went up against the Bungie.net moderators this week. No warmup game at all (I guess they were afraid they wouldn't be able to pull off the same bait-and-switch tactic twice in a row), but they didn't need it - they won the first two, tied on the third. Looks like Fires7orm was first with the news. (Louis Wu 09:26:13 UTC) (permalink)
Keith David on Voice Acting Not fully Halo-related... but interesting nonetheless. TeamXbox has put up some interviews with the voice actors that worked on Mass Effect - and one of those actors is Keith David, who also voiced the Arbiter in Halo 2 and Halo 3. He's talking about voice acting in general; it's not a long interview, but it's interesting to hear what he thinks about the job. Thanks, Caligula Caesar. (Louis Wu 09:16:03 UTC) (permalink)
