I think I'll call you... Pumbaa. The Bungie Weekly Update is up over on Bungie.net - and it does a bunch of stuff. It tries to talk reason into people screaming about how much Bungie sucks for cutting online co-op (heh - yeah, right), it teases you with a 'regular schedule' for the Bungie podcast, it tantalizes with information about new behaviors of the Energy Sword, it transmogrifies reality with images of a real-life Warthog, it triggers excitement in people living in (or near) specific cities, and it tortures you with Mister Chief 'artwork'. (And even more, but I ran out of T words.) Go read - either at Bungie.net or in our Weekly Update Archive. (Louis Wu 23:58:03 UTC) (permalink)

Grunt And Groan.
I swear, if I hear today's One One Se7en dialogue in Halo 3, I'm going to hunt down Joe Staten and kill him. (Louis Wu 18:49:59 UTC) (permalink)

Name Halo 3 Launch Day/Week! Sketchfactor stopped by last night to mention that Bungie and Microsoft are planning a week-long launch celebration for this game - but that they don't have a name that's catchy enough yet. Do you have a suggestion? Check the thread (to make sure your idea isn't already posted), then throw something into the hat! I've read all the ones that are posted at this point - 80 messages, many with multiple suggestions - and while there are some clever ones, I haven't seen any that absolutely grabbed me (not that it's MY choice, anyway). So there's time - read Sketch's post, and get those creative juices flowing! (Louis Wu 12:46:22 UTC) (permalink)
AusGamers look at Halo 3 One more E3 demo writeup, this one from AusGamers. Update: and yet another - from MTV (thanks, Anton P. Nym). (Louis Wu 12:30:42 UTC) (permalink)
EGM Covers (yes, plural) revealed
DHalo noticed a story at 1UP about the upcoming EGM - more info coming soon, but right now, a look at the three covers for this issue. GORGEOUS! (Louis Wu 12:22:18 UTC) (permalink)
Bendis on Uprising
Newsarama interviewed Michael Bendis about his work on the upcoming Halo comic miniseries from Marvel. Great interview, with nice story tidbits (no real spoilers, but an overview of how they attacked the problem), and some very cool artwork. Check it out! Thanks, Wolverine Monkey. It's a Halo BETA
Bzerker was the first to point out 'It's a Halo BETA', a new Flash video at Newgrounds. It's just a teaser to a longer vid (not finished yet) - but it looks pretty promising! (Louis Wu 11:14:34 UTC) (permalink)
