In comes new artwork
Stephen Loftus sent along another couple of dozen vector drawings from the various Halo games for his Signs of Halo collection - some are in-game signs (including two brand new ones from Breakneck), some are multiplayer logos. Halo-verse Planetary Scale - Revisited
Stephen Loftus has completely overhauled his Halo-verse Planetary Scale article - the newest version contains all the information of the older versions, plus a bunch of new stuff that we now know about (systems described in books/games, etc) - plus some new distance calculations that are pretty impressive! Stephen Loftus sent along another small batch of new Halo signs (mostly Civilian, showing up on this page, but also a pair of UNSC signs at the end of this page) - I'm most intrigued by the Jotun signs. Will anyone ever decipher those dots?

Millions dead; posters ruined.
Jordan117 noticed a pretty interesting page over at the website of graphic designer Sean Haas - it's a look at the signs found in Reach, with commentary on their design. Forum scraping
Wow, I'd forgotten how tough it is to catch up when you've been away for a few days! The crew did an amazing job of bringing you Halo news since I left Thursday - I'm just pointing out a few forum links that might also interest you.
- Gravemind posted his 20,000+ word review of Halo: Reach - response was generally positive. (I haven't had time to read it, myself; like I said, I just got back this afternoon.) If your latest novel just ended... take a look!
- JDQuackers noticed a free Halo: Mobile Edition MMORPG - anyone tried this yet?
- Mazz put together a collection of (mostly) Unearthed panoramas - lovin' these.
- RC Master stopped in with links to films showing off Mythic Reach... done in less than 3 hours, total. Four crazy people (including RC Master) contributed runs.
- Stephen Loftus was able to watch (and film) the destruction of the Savannah... from space. No forcefield distortion! Pretty cool.
- TCKaos noticed a Japanese magazine showing a survey of Japanese gamers, and their satisfaction with various games. Halo: Reach took the very top spot. Whaaaaat?
- Kermit put together a pretty epic recap of Co-op Night, the last HBO forum collective campaign run-through. Definitely worth a read!

Documenting the World
Stephen Loftus has added ANOTHER 15 signs to his Halo Signs collection - mostly civilian (I was amused by the Citizen Alerts - I hadn't realized Dave Dunn was the Minister of Information, or that Paul Russel was Secretary of Defense), but also a Covenant hatch label and a couple of UNSC signs. Signage Update
Stephen Loftus continues to document the signage of the Halo universe - his Halo Signs collection grew by 16 this morning. I'm working on a solution for finding new content - but check the end of the Civilian, Covenant, and UNSC sections for the latest goodies! (The Jiralhanae logo is really cool!)

Signs of the Apocalypse

Documenting Future History
Stephen Loftus continues in his quest to eradicate all low-res understanding of Halo signs - there are almost two dozen new images up in his Signs collection here today. In case it wasn't clear, Stephen recreates these himself, using vector tools, starting with the low-res versions you can find in-game. "Fueder Construction"? I have NEVER seen this sign in-game. And I'm not sure I ever read all the instructions surrounding Optican MediGel - but I really want 5-minute healing on my current wounds... go see what else you can find. (Louis Wu 14:29:34 UTC)
