FoR: Covenant #3 is out (plus a reminder)
Gina Johnson wrote to let us know that Issue #3 of Halo the Fall of Reach: Covenant hits comic stores today - if you haven't been keeping up on what's available out there, check Wikipedia. She also wanted us to remind people that a contest she announced last week has yet to be responded to - she needs a logo, and you could win a copy of Legends or the first 3 Halo books if you create one. Halotracker Halo: Reach Community Montage 5 Edge sent word that the 5th Halotracker Community Montage is online - lots of multikills. The ending clip... is hilarious. (Louis Wu 17:33:43 UTC) (permalink)

Microsoft reassures fans According to Game Informer, Microsoft has issued an official response to the departure of Ryan Payton from the Halo 4 team (mentioned yesterday) - he's been replaced by Armando Troisi, who was the Lead Cinematic Designer on Mass Effect 2. Pretty positive info! Thanks, Homeboyd. (Louis Wu 14:39:28 UTC) (permalink)

Human or Demon

Custom Jetpack Blast Base Diorama
Kaidon stopped in with new pics of a Jetpack Blast base diorama he built for a friend's McFarlane jetpack-equipped figure. My jaw dropped. (Louis Wu 14:27:18 UTC) (permalink)
What a Night!
Pierre Tartaix sent word that TGO GMBH has released What a Night! - a Halo 3-based machinima that goes for the 50's Film Noir vibe. Things get a little... odd near the end. Interesting piece of work! (Louis Wu 14:18:53 UTC) (permalink)
Reach Playlist documentation coming back online Dani noticed that the current Reach playlists, which haven't been online since Bungie took their Playlist page down in early August, have a temporary home in the Waypoint forums, and will have a regular page on the Waypoint website soon. It's not a complete page (doesn't contain a list of maps, for example) - but it's quite a bit more info than we've had for a month. (Louis Wu 14:05:28 UTC) (permalink)
Ancient, Alien, and Epic (no, not Marty) Minnesota Public Radio's Top Score has kicked off their second season with an interview with Marty O'Donnell - Part 1 is online now. (Thanks to Greg O'Connor-Read for the heads-up, and to Hedgemony for kicking off a forum thread for comment.) It's a fascinating discussion; Marty's given at least his share of interviews over the years, but he's really, really good at talking about this stuff, and there's always something new to hear. Part 2 of this interview is coming next week. (Louis Wu 13:59:35 UTC) (permalink)
