February 26, 2006 Link to this post Origami - and the Halo link Interesting. Microsoft launched a new website recently, called 'The Origami Project' - tech blogs across the net have speculated on what's behind it. A new cell phone, a new handheld device... well, maybe it's both. Eastbeast314 pointed out a blog entry at Kevin 2.0 (which in turn got its info from an Engadget comment) which will lead you to an ad for the device, from Digital Kitchen. The entire DK site is Flash-based, and the ad shows you a lot of the different things you can do with the Origami device... but the one that's relevant here is a short clip in the middle. A guy, sitting in a subway... playing his way through Silent Cartographer. Nice! (If you don't want to go through the trouble of hunting down the full movie, or you're not interested in the device per se... you can grab just the Halo clip from us - QuickTime or WMP9. They're both under a meg.) A handheld Xbox? Coolness. (Louis Wu 17:58:50 UTC)
