Like Visiting Cheers, but with Way More Drinking Involved In other news, the Halo Waypoint Forums were recently named the "Friendliest & Most Accessible Online Community in Video Games", citing an excellent member-to-mod relationship and top marks for fan-based constructive criticism & encouragement. Congrats, guys! (GrimBrother One 14:57:45 UTC) (permalink)
What the world needs now, is hugs, free hugs. Um, I was asked by Grim to handle the next news post. But instead, I just want to encourage eveyone to hug more. That is all! (Molten Slowa 14:50:12 UTC) (permalink)
Halo 5' Gets New Lead Designer In an unprecedented move, Jessica Shea (bs angel) of 343 Industries has been moved from her post as Community Manager and will instead serve as Lead Designer on Halo 5. Some of the already-rumored feature changes include Spartans' canonical height being retconned to 4'8, and the inclusion of a Ranked Betrayal competitive playlist. Current Community Coordinator Rukari "rukizzel" Austin will move to a mixed role of half Community Manager, half Gameplay Designer. His first move was to enlist the services of Kevin Hart to join the Narrative Team. Covies gon' learn today! (GrimBrother One 14:37:38 UTC) (permalink)
Destiny's Child Quits the Band The folks over at Gears of Halo have stumbled upon some incredible news: apparently Jason Jones has left Bungie. Details are scarce at the moment, with various reasons being cited but not confirmed. Either way, we wish him luck as he chases a different destiny! (GrimBrother One 14:32:57 UTC) (permalink)
Apparently, she really knows how to push his buttons. Well it looks like it's official; Sarah Palmer will serve as Cortana's replacement in Halo 5. This will include roles both as combat companion and awkward love-interest. In an interesting twist, we're hearing rumors that Halo 5 will never see Chief with his helmet on; Palmer however, will never remove hers. (GrimBrother One 14:22:37 UTC) (permalink)
A Future Fair for All I's like to introduce you to the next revolution in the Halo Custom Game experience. Raise a hand for The People's Republic of Customs, where you don't don't just vote for the map and gametype, you vote for change. I'd also like to draw your attention to the impeccable grammatical structure of this particular news post. Coming soon, my opinion on an eleven year-old thread that seems to have no connection to the current conversation whatsoever. (Gnrl Vagueness 14:12:54 UTC) (permalink)
