It's baa-ack...
For years, it was a tradition at HBO that we would host a pumpkin-carving contest, and you guys would make us feel warm and fuzzy all over with the amazing creations you sent us. Last year, we skipped this tradition, because things were simply too busy to make it happen. We made a lot of people sad when we did that, however... so the 343 Guilt O' Lantern contest is back. The prize list isn't live yet... but hey, you're not doing this for prizes, right? (Right?) Don't worry - there will be a sizeable prize list, long before the contest actually ends. Don't wait for us, though - get to carving! Entries can be submitted anytime between right now and October 31 - we'll start the voting process soon after that. Make us proud! You know, unless it was Halo... Kotaku recently spoke to Stewart Hendler, the director for Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn, and discussed how he got involved with the project, how the Master Chief fits into it all, and where the FuD story fits into the universe as a whole. Cool read, go check it out! (GrimBrother One 19:19:00 UTC) (permalink)

A Blocky Ringworld
We've mentioned a lot of Halo LEGO creations - but I don't think I've ever seen a full Halo ring before. Check out Catsy's monster creation (11,000 blocks!). Wonga. (There are other shots, showing off other parts of the ring. I repeat - wonga.) Thanks, TCKaos. (Louis Wu 16:38:10 UTC) (permalink)

Get Ready to Draw, Pardner
Hedgemony has a pair of potential covers for the upcoming (not really) Deadeye comic - he's not sure the first one works, but I can say with certainty that he's wrong. (The second one rocks, too.)
