May Both Destinies Meet With Overflowing Success In a moment that wasn't necessarily "news" this week, but was important nonetheless, Bungie made a wonderfully classy gesture congratulating the Waypoint crew for a job well done and wishing them well with the future of Halo. 343 Industries themselves followed up with an equally heartfelt and gracious response that made this diehard fan of both sides incredibly pleased. In a time where we often see studios fight dirty with each other and forget the hearts and efforts of the people involved, it's refreshing to see such warm goodwill; an added bonus to an already-exciting time. Cheers to both Bungie and 343 Industries. (GrimBrother One 21:50:45 UTC) (permalink)
More Like The Truth Fairy Halo Waypoint was excited to share the ever growing wall of award nominations Halo 4 is collecting this E3 week. Excellent work, and incredibly well-deserved! Congrats! (GrimBrother One 21:47:58 UTC) (permalink)

There's Still Plenty of B.O. Left Here Breaking from the E3 - and Halo at all - hold this news day, check out this article from Reg Hardware on the Marathon series. It's a good look back at a classic masterpiece! Thanks to Urban Reflex for the tip. (GrimBrother One 21:10:55 UTC) (permalink)

Where We Stand The Little English Halo Blog has a nice writeup on what we know of the campaign so far, taking into account the new information that we're learning at E3. Halo: Saving the Galaxy with Class mneo brought word of a very cool article from 1UP regarding the (in their opinion) lack of creativity when it comes to the marketing efforts of some of the big titles this year at E3. The article talks about how so many games fall back on things like violence and harsh language in order to not just have in the game, but to highlight and sell it. Special mention is given to Halo for not falling into these same choices, but rather playing on the title's true strengths and attractions. I couldn't agree more! Another Fan Writeup
NeoGAF's mastrbiggy spent all day yesterday in the Halo 4 line, and then went and played MORE Halo 4 at an after-show party. He wrote up his impressions over at NeoGAF - great read! (Fan writeups are some of the most useful impression-style articles there are; these are people who love playing Halo, getting their hands on something new and sharing their thoughts. They're not journalists being sent out to cover the game of the week - they're people who are intimately acquainted with the series, and know what they like and don't like.) Pro Rountable on Halo 4 Weapons Speaking of pro advice, Bravo got together with Walshy and BesT Man for a pretty epic 20-minute discussion on their experience with the weapons in Halo 4. If you've got the time, it's a really interesting watch! If you don't have the time, it'll still be interesting, you just won't get to see it. Thanks daedalius. Kiki on GT Apollo let us know about a new GameTrailers interview with Kiki "Yes, that's really my awesome name" Wolfkill. Some pretty great insight into a few newer topics like loadouts, and a nice peek at the gorgeous 343 booth at E3. Go and watch! (GrimBrother One 14:32:58 UTC) (permalink)

I Love Mystery Orbs Machinima's "Inside Gaming" show went to E3 and had their very own stage demo and interview with 343 Studios Industries' Josh Holmes. It's another great look at footage from both campaign and multiplayer with a host that finally knows a bit about the REAL meat of the Halo Universe! Go and check it out! Thanks, CyReN. He Also Invented Fermentation If anyone thought they could question the dedication of Louis Wu before now, they've just lost all ground to stand on, as the Inventor of the Halo Community himself traveled all the way across the country to bring you an incredibly important Halo 4 image. Drink it in, community. (GrimBrother One 13:59:43 UTC) (permalink)
