Brian and Joe talk money. (And nipples.)
The biggest bit of news today was the announcement by Bungie that they'd entered into a partnership with Activision to publish their next game universe. Reaction was predominately negative; Activision has recently gone through some messy dealings with Infinity Ward, and gamers are a little gun-shy. We sat down to talk to Brian Jarrard and Joe Staten of Bungie about the new deal - and they want people to know, there's nothing to worry about. Read the interview - it should soothe your fears. So last night we put up a fun little Flash game (still up now, feel free to play) to collect data we'd be using to give out some F&F Reach Beta codes. It went really, really well. dCon V noticed an article on Kotaku (and mendicantbias00 let us know about a similar one on Joystiq) about a rather odd marketing promotion - Microsoft is sending out Reach-branded hair clippers in a fancy case. Bring Your Halo on the Road

Reach Vids at IGN
Minime noticed a bunch of Reach vids at IGN: IGN_Strategize: Halo Reach Armor Abilities is a video going over armor abilities. IGN Montage: Armor Abilities shows off these abilities in use. There are also a pair of gameplay vids: Long Range and Destroy.

Reach Freebies
BuzzJuice found some cool info at IGN - first, it looks like the weekend of May 14 has been designated a "Halo Multiplayer Unlock Weekend", so anyone with a copy of ODST can play, whether or not they're paying for Xbox LIVE. NICE! Second, anyone who plays at least one game in the beta and visits Waypoint will receive a Halo: Reach avatar hoodie. ALSO NICE! Full details in the IGN article.
