Aberrant Designs: Favorite Files, Week 2
Last week, we pointed out some of Aberrant Designs' favorite files (in the Bungie Favorites section) - they've put up a new batch. Swing by Bungie.net to read about one of their maps, and then look at the rest of the goodies! (Louis Wu 20:35:58 UTC) (permalink)
Spike's VGA Voting: Open
Bungie's pointed out that polls for Spike's 2009 Video Game Awards are now open - Halo 3: ODST has been nominated in five categories (Best Shooter, Best XBOX 360 Game, Best Original Score, Best Multi-Player Game, and Best Performance by a Human Female). Go cast your votes! (There's a thread going on our forum, if you want to toss in your two cents.) (Louis Wu 20:03:26 UTC) (permalink)
Reach to premiere at the VGAs
If you've been wondering when you're going to see some real Reach material, wonder no more - GTTV's Geoff Keighley just updated his Twitter feed with the following information: The world premiere of HALO: REACH happens only at the 2009 Video Game Awards, Live 12/12 on Spike. Mark your calendars! Thanks, Oddworld. (Louis Wu 16:20:24 UTC) (permalink)
Halo Fine Art GrimBrother One noticed a tidbit at Kotaku about some high end Halo art going on sale soon. There are three giclée prints, framed, published in limited-edition runs of 100, selling for $175 each. (You can actually buy them at Sideshow Collectibles - along with the four previous Halo glicée prints we mentioned almost two years ago.) Just so you're aware: all three of these new prints are avaiable in digital format on our ODST Assets page - they're in resolutions EASILY printable at a large size (24 megapixels for 'A Heavy Toll', 50 megapixels for 'Happy Hunting', 3 megapixels for 'Mombasa Streets' - granted, that one might not be ideal). Googling 'Glicée Printing' shows that a 13x19 print from a digital image will run you less than $40, though you'll still have to frame it. If you want the work done for you, though - this looks like a nice product! (Louis Wu 15:00:25 UTC) (permalink)
Covenant Carrier Pano Fire
Mid7night has recently learned the art of breaking out of maps - and has used this new skill to whip up a gorgeous panorama of a Covenant carrier glassing New Mombasa. Go look! (Louis Wu 14:59:57 UTC) (permalink)

Tell 'em you love 'em - with a credit card
Bungie's slowly filling out their merch collection with stuff that isn't Halo IP - and coming soon they've got a Marathon hoodie! (For those of you who came on board with Halo, no, that's not just a UNSC logo from Halo - its origins are much, much older.) You can also snag a classic Bungie T - go see.
