RvB PSA: Columbus Day
Last night, Rooster Teeth posted a new PSA in honor of this week's Columbus Day - unfortunately, it's Sponsors-only. If you're a sponsor, though, swing by and watch it; Caboose is a funny guy! (I meant to post this this morning, but forgot. Thanks to AvatarAang for reminding me.) (Louis Wu 21:32:20 UTC) (permalink)
MaraFlower Tea Set Empress Cortana painted a tea set at Busch Gardens with a familiar pattern... check it out! (Louis Wu 21:29:03 UTC) (permalink)
Looking for questions for the BWU
Yesterday, Luke Smith kicked off a thread on Bungie.net asking for questions for tonight's Weekly Update - it might be too late to get yours in, but the thread's not locked, so give it a shot! (Louis Wu 16:47:07 UTC) (permalink)

The Digital Content Crisis
Marty O'Donnell talked to Joystiq recently about the issue of used video game sales. (It's not the first time he's spoken out about this.) The thread on our forum kicked off by Ross Mills has drawn a lot of comments, from fans, from Bungie/Ex-Bungie employees, from Marty himself. Is the solution digital sales? Do you really want to hold the content you buy in your hands? Where do you stand?

When Football Meets Halo
Sports Illustrated.com included a pic of a New Orlean Saints fan in an awesome suit. Hawty McBloggy found it on Geekologie, and put up her own comments. Don't worry, HP - I'd have posted this even without a sexual innuendo. (Louis Wu 16:27:51 UTC) (permalink)
Halo Story Page: Little Steps
Jillybean let us know that she's updated the Halo Story Page with some canonical discussion. What's canon? Go read, then decide for yourself. (Louis Wu 16:27:22 UTC) (permalink)
Don't worry - America's still playing video games
It looks like for the first time since March 2006, retail sales of video game software (year over year - that is, for the current month compared to the same month last year) will decline in September. However, Wedbush Morgan analyst Morgan Pachter says don't think this is a sign that Americans are abandoning video games in these times of economic chaos - rather, blame it on Halo 3. It's not that we're buying less NOW, it's that we bought a ridiculous amount THEN. Gives a whole new meaning to the term "Halo effect". Thanks, Sep7imus. (Louis Wu 16:26:44 UTC) (permalink)
Friday's Fan Fiction Thirteen new entries for the Fan Fiction section this week - none of them are entries in the You're Doing It Write contest, but there's still plenty of time for that. Go read! (Louis Wu 16:24:41 UTC) (permalink)
