(Re)spawning your life away Heh - a couple of guys worked out a script that calculates the amount of time you spend waiting to respawn in multiplayer, assuming an average 5 second respawn. Gives you pause... Thanks, BuckHijo. (Louis Wu 20:07:05 UTC) (permalink)
Spoils of Waaaah. A bunch of recent One One Se7en episodes have contained Halo 3 story spoilers. Today's does, too. Pretty nice zinger, though. (Louis Wu 17:30:15 UTC) (permalink)
Dealing with the loss of Harvest
The Halo Wars website has been updated again, with a new piece of concept art, and some rationale behind its creation. Go read 'What's behind a concept...' on the front page now. Thanks, Marcus-626. (Louis Wu 17:27:49 UTC) (permalink)
The Philosophy of Control
Zaam pointed out a school philosophy project he created using the Halo 3 engine - it's called 'The Philosophy of Control', and it looks at various forms of government, and some problems each might face. It's in two parts, on YouTube (One | Two). I don't know what grade it earned. (Louis Wu 17:15:41 UTC) (permalink)
Is there a Plan C?
Halo Action Figure Theater #119 has been posted - there's hope! Well, sort of. Things rely on Spartan 212 and his team... and that might not be a really good thing. (Louis Wu 16:51:39 UTC) (permalink)
Halo 3 Afterthoughts: Extended Edition
1UP.com sat down with Brian Jarrard and Tyson Green and talked for a LONG time about what worked, and didn't work, in Halo 3. There's a huge amount of information, covering what happened at the end of Halo 2, how they made decisions about Halo 3 content, why they've chosen some of the things they've chosen... it's a must-read for any hardcore Halo fan. Thanks to Planet Halo for noticing. (Louis Wu 16:34:35 UTC) (permalink)
Cheeb's World Tour
It's been a while since you've heard from Madda Cheeb, the trash-talking action figure that lives at Xbox Ottawa. Looks like that might be because he's been globetrotting. Swing by the site for a huge collection of photos of Madda Cheeb, all over the world! (Andrew says he got some pretty odd looks taking some of these pictures...) (Louis Wu 15:39:46 UTC) (permalink)
Infected Teaser
Deekor let us know that he's released a trailer for his upcoming film 'Infected'. It's short, nicely filmed. (No real content.) Take a look. (Louis Wu 15:12:42 UTC) (permalink)

If you live in Europe (well, some parts of Europe), Microsoft wants to see what you can do with the Master Chief. They're looking for "short movies that show the unseen adventures of Master Chief and the Halo crew." Send in a movie - you might find yourself in Hollywood for a 4-week Film School. Check the official contest page for full details, including age restrictions, eligibility, and full prize details. Sweetness! Thanks to Filefront for the heads-up. (Louis Wu 14:56:37 UTC) (permalink)

How long does a 'best of' take?
gloob.tv put together what they call the 'Best Fan-Made Halo 3 Videos' (seems sort of silly, given that the game's only been out for 4 months, but...). Go see what they've picked. (Nice collection, actually.) (Louis Wu 13:35:03 UTC) (permalink)
