Hey! Nielsen wants your feedback HeySarah dropped in to point out a new site from Nielsen, the ratings company. Hey! Nielsen allows anyone who wants to to to give opinions about games, television, movies, whatever - Halo is nicely represented (as evidenced by her links). Check it out - and add your two cents! Xbox and the Army - and you (a clarification) Okay, so a few days ago, we mentioned a new contest at Xbox.com, sponsored by the Army - play Halo 3, register for the sweepstakes, maybe win some stuff. At about the same time, a bunch of big gaming sites posted news of a Halo 3 tournament sponsored by the Army - and pointed to the same page on Xbox.com. Prizes weren't listed, but it sounded like a pretty big deal; a three-part qualifier, finals, a "branded destination experience" site on Xbox LIVE complete with downloadable videos... After a bunch of checking, we're sorry to tell you that these guys (TeamXbox, Xbox360Fanboy, Joystiq, and dozens of others) have made a mistake; the tournament was, indeed, originally planned - but it was cancelled. What's left is the Play & Win contest we mentioned on Tuesday. We'd love to see the tourney (and feature-rich LIVE site)... but it ain't gonna happen. (Louis Wu 16:57:46 UTC) (permalink)

He's got the look
Elnea has posted the first "totally in its new home" episode of Halo Action Figure Theater - Episode 110 shows you why Chuck Norris pwns you. Let her know what you think of the new digs! (There's a comment feature and everything.) (Louis Wu 16:40:42 UTC) (permalink)
Official pics of new McFarlane figures
Spawn.com has updated their website with official information about the Series 2 Halo 3 figures we mentioned yesterday - and lots of screenshots. Swing by if you want to get better acquainted. Brian Curry was first with this news, but Smurfa got a thread started before I got this post up, if you'd like to discuss it.

Another Inkblot (and a cool Transformer Auction)
Hawty McBloggy has posted another one of her Rorschach Inblot tests - this one is the heatmap from Epitaph. What does it look like to you? (She also pointed out, as a sidenote, that there's a custom Transformers Halo crossover model up for sale on eBay. The last time we posted one of these, some forum members complained that the workmanship was shoddy, and that the only reason these were selling was because they were front-paged at big Halo sites. This one hasn't been mentioned yet - and the bid's up to $177.50 (with two and a half days to go)... I guess there are other things besides Halo websites driving the demand for these.)

Friday's Fan Fiction Eight new stories for you in the Fan Fiction section this week. Go read. (Note to submitters; if there's a rule about submitting that you feel you can violate because you're a special case, please don't expect to actually see your story posted. There are very, very, VERY few special cases.) (Louis Wu 16:00:58 UTC) (permalink)
Bungie Takes a Beating
This week's Halo Humpday Challenge was a unique one - Bungie went up against some of the earliest Grifball players in a 3-game Grifball match. They got pummeled. (Hammered, even.) Go read about it. (Louis Wu 15:56:45 UTC) (permalink)
Organization is good.

Joyride Halo Figure Collection for Sale
MikeSierra is selling his collection of Joyride figures; they're not in their
original packaging, but he HAS kept them pristine, and he'd love for them to go to a Halo fan. You can see pictures on his eBay auction page. (He's in the UK, and starting bid is £350, if that affects your desire to bid.) (Louis Wu 15:50:03 UTC) (permalink)
