GameCareerGuide.com has an article entitled 'How Halo 3 Changed Game Development' - I'm not sure it did what it set out to do (which was to show that Bungie's handling of Halo 3 has changed how games will be developed in the future), but it IS a nice summary of how well Bungie delivered on the promises it made (and others made in Bungie's name) with respect to Halo 3.
