Halo Internet RPG Colin Tulloch is looking for developers to help him with a Halo RPG he's been working on. Details can be found in this post (and some clarifications in this one). If this sounds interesting, drop him a line! (Louis Wu 22:45:09 UTC) (permalink)
Halo 2: Pong Evolved An anonymous person mentions a pong game he's posted over at halomods - Pong Evolved. Energy swords and oddballs... and an extra dimension. If you have a PC, check it out! (Louis Wu 19:21:01 UTC) (permalink)
PoA 0 Shot pushbak, inspired by Mike Miller's gunless Belly of the Beast performance, has submitted a new run through the Pillar of Autumn, doing the entire level on Legendary without firing a shot. (Lots and lots of grenades, and melee attacks... but not a single shot.) The movie is 8:03 long, and 28.1 mb large, in QuickTime format. You can grab it from Mythica.org. (If bandwidth gets tight, we'll add another mirror.) Enjoy! (Louis Wu 16:56:45 UTC) (permalink)
1000 Player Push EthanDM, of Halo World, posted a note last week on the Gearbox forums, attempting once again to get 1000 players on HaloCE at one time; if this can be accomplished, Randy Pitchford of Gearbox has pledged to update Halo CE with new features and bug fixes. The first day for this new push is today - and it runs all week. Read the post for times and information - and join in to help make Halo CE be all that it can be! Thanks to scottisonfire for letting us know last week. (I've held off because I know how short-term the memory of some Halo fans can be; I figured if you only have to remember for a few hours, there's a chance you'll join in. :) ) (Louis Wu 16:51:58 UTC) (permalink)
Free (PAL) Halo 2 at Xbox Resource halochat noticed a contest mentioned over at Tru7h.org; Sign up at the Xbox Resource forums and you can enter to win a free copy of Halo 2, signed by Frankie. (It's the PAL version, so if you're in the US, there's not a lot of point in your entering...) (Louis Wu 16:39:19 UTC) (permalink)
Dewin' it tLove sent along an ad he scanned (750x1019, 302k)out of the latest issue of EGM; it contains shots of two of the winning teams of the Mountain Dew contest that took place in July, enjoying their time at Bungie Studios. Looks like fun! (Louis Wu 14:34:14 UTC) (permalink)
Chipps Dubbo Memorial Tournament Mogwong points out a Halo tourney in Wagga Wagga, Australia, on October 1. The 'Chipps Dubbo 2004 Halo Memorial Tournament... OF DOOM!' looks to be a night of fun; as far as I can tell, there's no money on the line, just pride. Check out the web page, and if you're in the area, go participate! (Louis Wu 14:07:09 UTC) (permalink)
Halo Ar7 Database A new Halo art database has come online, and is beginning to receive content. Go check it out. (I remembered this because Hikaru-119 posted some pieces there recently.) (Louis Wu 13:38:33 UTC) (permalink)
Halo Theme Tab Blitzwolf found a guitar tab for the Halo theme at MXTabs.net. I couldn't tell you what it sounds like - I don't read this stuff - but if you do, go check it out. (Louis Wu 13:32:58 UTC) (permalink)
