Halo Spikes the Competition The Spike TV Video Game Awards were given out last night in Las Vegas, and though they won't air on Spike TV before tomorrow night, GamerFeed has announced the winners. Halo 2 was up for 'Most Anticipated Game' - it won. Halo PC was up for 'Best PC Game' - it won. (It was also up for 'Best First-Person Action Game' - but lost to Call of Duty.) Watch the details on Spike TV tomorrow at 9 pm! Thanks to Jesper Nielsen for the heads-up. (Apologies to anyone offended by the early notice.) (Louis Wu 20:40:25 UTC) (permalink)
Another AGP writeup Lion got around to writing up his experience at AGP3 last week. Check it out here. (Louis Wu 19:32:51 UTC) (permalink)
A tribute to a friend Not mine, actually - Morningstar's. (The tribute, that is. I wasn't - oh, never mind.) The MorningStar decided there was a missing feature here at HBO - a way to read stories written by forum jester Skavenger, without having to search through the archives. (Skavenger has never opted to submit his works to our Fan Fiction section.) Star figured that while he was compiling this list of jewels-in-the-rough, he might as well polish them up a bit; clean up spelling, punctuation, that sort of thing. In theory, with his help, this section will continue to be updated, if new stories are added to the forum. Without further ado, I direct you to the Skavenger_s7 section of HBO; may you find a laugh or two. (Louis Wu 16:11:39 UTC) (permalink)
HaloCity - a growing hub progamerz stopped by our forum to point out three new sites at HaloCity, all modding-related; check out SomeRhino's Domain (nice shots of an in-progress map), Skin Deep (shots of racing stripe skins for hogs, among other things), and Digital Adrenaline (no real info yet, just a Flash intro). Wait, I think you missed one... In the 'too much time on their hands' category, Hikaru-119 takes home the golden penguin for his Munitions count on all campaign levels of Halo. Gah. (Louis Wu 15:51:41 UTC) (permalink)

Not A Glitch. Stuntmutt revisits the mystery at the top of 343 Guilty Spark in today's One One Se7en. Dunno why... I was expecting a 'Can you hear me now?' joke instead... (Louis Wu 11:11:44 UTC) (permalink)
Most Anticipated Game Poll Poll smash; Gamespot wants to know what 2004 release you're most looking forward to? Halo 2 is currently on top; if you can stomach the enormous ad to get in, help make sure it stays there. (Thanks to Alucard for pointing it out.) (Louis Wu 11:08:27 UTC) (permalink)
Terminology Noobs - you gotta love 'em. Halo: Resolution shows you why. (Louis Wu 10:30:47 UTC) (permalink)
More bandwidth for Making Of Halo 2 Another mirror has appeared for the Making Of Halo 2 vid - WorthPlaying has put up copies on all its servers. (Three are in the US, one is in Sweden.) Don't miss this one! Update: Halo Orbit, in Germany, has put up a copy, as well. Check the mirror page! Update 2: and 6 MORE mirrors, from Gamers Hell. We'll keep adding mirrors to the page, as they come in; just keep checking back if you haven't gotten it yet! (No more updates here, though - this entry's gonna get too long.)
