Fore Maps to Download Anytime and Friends To Play Them With This Friday
With Halo 5's Forge having been out for a couple weeks now, the community is just beginning to see some amazing maps come out (now if only we had those gametypes!). Some great places to check out new user-submitted maps are Forge Channel and Forge Hub among many others. Rewind Paradise (A Halo 3 HMV) by Timgie
I had no idea what to expect at first, but after the first minute of Timgie's 'Rewind Paradise (A Halo 3 HMV)' I was hooked! Timgie has done one of these for Reach before, so this is a kind of prequel/sequel he's been working off and on for a couple years. Grumpy Launches Himself from The Bottom of The Arbiter Level in Halo 2 to The Top of The Level Using a Banshee and Phantom
If you looked through our news archive for Grumpy, you would see some pretty amazing tricks he's accomplished in Halo 2 as a long time HIH member. Well this past week, he sent word of the results of some stormy weather that kept him inside for a couple days.
In his own words, 'Finally, a bottom to top launch on Arbiter has been done. Using a Banshee Slam and a Phantom setup, from the bottom of the map a vast height thought impossible was achieved. Lol, anybody remember Halo 2 Arbiter?'

Joe Waters, Former 343 Developer, Passed Away Last Week
Joe Waters, a former developer for 343 Industries, passed away last week. He worked on Halo for quite a few years with both Bungie and 343 in the past decade, in addition to many other titles. Our own TDSpiral shared of his experience with the colorful man in a touching story in our forum. Rest in peace, Joe.

Halo Reach Now Backwards Compatible on Xbox One
In a list of some great old 360 games (Fable III, Iron Brigade, etc), fans of Halo will see a familiar old face resurfacing now on their Xbox One. As of today, Halo Reach is back with backwards compatibility on the Xbox One. This puts all the Halo games 'cept Halo Wars on one console! Respawned In The Warzone Vehicle Garage
Sometimes when playing Warzone, things don't go exactly as you planned (I'm looking at you, 'Mr. Legendary Boss Kill Stealer'!), but sometimes those things can be pretty cool too! Termacious Trickocity's 'Limitless' Halo 5 Trick Jumping Montage
Kotaku posted a great trick-jump video today for Halo 5: Guardians. It's cool to see how Termacious Trickocity use the thrusters to aid in some otherwise impossible moves, and the editing on this one is outstanding (the transition at 1:35 is particularly surprising). There's plenty of promise to the augmented reality of Microsoft's HoloLens, but it's pretty cool to see the day-to-day application of using it as a screen for your existing 2D viewing purposes. At the end of last week, Bravo posted a new Community Update going over the recently revealed December update, 'Cartographer's Gift'. There are previews of the new Forge, REQs, ranked verses social playlists, maps and even UI updates coming to Halo 5 (you'll finally be able to see specifically what people are doing in Halo 5 from within Halo 5!). Gravemind's ever-so-slightly faster fingers shared with us the DLC announcement for December in Halo 5: Guardians last evening. The 'Cartographer's Gift' will arrive later this month with a slew of new content. Many will rejoice at the arrival of the new Forge mode, but there's also the new Warzone (Battle of Noctus), Arena (Overgrowth) and Big Team Battle (Antifreeze and Burial Mounds) maps and over 30 new REQ cards!
