Eric Nylund, Amazon and No Correlation
With the recent article in the New York Times about the reported working conditions at Amazon, I guess many in the games industry did a bit more Googling than they normally do. While Eric Nylund (largely known around these parts for penning 'The Fall of Reach') left Amazon in July of this year, Gamespot, IGN and others are reporting it this week as news. Eric posted on his blog that there is no correlation between the New York Times article and his leaving the Amazon Games Studio and that he only cried once while working there.
