Achievement Design 101
Gamasutra has an interesting blog post from Greg McClanahan (an Achievement designer for Kongregate) about Achievement design... and how developers can improve their offerings. Halo is mentioned only once (and incorrectly - he says 'Halo 2' when he means 'Halo 3'), but the concepts are definitely applicable across the board, and you can certainly see examples from Halo 3 and Halo 3: ODST in both the good and bad routes.
