In 2001, Halo was a finalist for 8 awards from the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences - it won 4 of those. In 2005, Halo 2 was up for 6 awards - and again, won 4. This year, Halo 3 picked up a paltry two nominations (Outstanding Achievement in Online Game Play and Action Game of the Year) - and it lost both of those to Call of Duty 4 (which cleaned up, actually).
