Gotchas from Japan
We got this news from 3Suns yesterday, but it didn't occur to me that it might be useful to others; thanks to oli for pointing it out again. If you're in Japan, and you speak English, beware the Asian version of Halo 3 being sold there; the dialogue is in Chinese, with English subtitles for cutscenes only. There is apparently a NEW Asian version that has English dialogue - but be careful that your box confirms this, as there are almost certainly still copies of the original Chinese version in stores. There is reasonable second-hand evidence (both from oli, and from the net) that the US version of Halo 3 is not region-encoded, so English-speaking players in Japan might simply want to order their copies from the US.
