Break street date - get banned from Live
Interesting... and maybe depressing for some folks who got their hands on Halo 3 early. According to Pro-G, Microsoft has confirmed that they will be banning Xbox Live accounts of folks who play Halo 3 before its street date - and they'll do this whether you're connected to XBL when you're playing, or not. Ouch! Thanks, Anton P. Nym. Update: JeSteR 343 points out that the Pro-G article has been updated; apparently, the Live ban only applies to Microsoft employees. Update 2: According to this page, Microsoft has now made an official statement that NOBODY will be banned from Live for playing before the street date. So that's that. (Louis Wu 15:10:24 UTC)
