Midnight Madness (a representative example)
We're not going to list every US store that's hosting a midnight sale (there are 10,000 of them; we don't have the front-page space), but we got word that Micro Center in Hilliard, OH is hosting a costume party, and top prize wins a Legendary Edition of Halo 3. (I'm POSITIVE this is happening elsewhere - but you'll need to check with your local stores to find out if something cool is happening in your area - as I said, we just don't have the room.) Update: According to Eric Max, this is true at EVERY Micro Center, not just the Hilliard one. (Louis Wu 21:35:16 UTC)
