Yesterday, an interesting report came out of Taipei - demand for components for the DVD-ROM drives that go into 360s began to rise... and they began to rise because the production of 360s is ramping up to handle the demand that will be generated by the release of Halo 3 this fall. It's a little indirect - okay, it's VERY indirect - but intriguing nonetheless. Halo 3 isn't driving sales the way Halo drove sales for the original Xbox... but it's certainly having a visible impact. (Louis Wu 10:58:49 UTC)
