May 9, 2007 Link to this post Halo 2 Vista - delayed until May 22 Last week, we mentioned that game retailers had been adjusting their availability listing for Halo 2 Vista from May 8 (yesterday) to May 23. All week long, European and Australian sites have been contacted by Microsoft with the news that the overseas versions would, indeed, be delayed until May 23 (release date in Europe was May 18 to begin with, so it was only a few days) - but it wasn't until yesterday that that news OFFICIALLY made it here. I can't find an actual copy of the press release, but many sites (like, say, Kotaku and GameSpot) are reporting that Microsoft has officially announced a new date of May 22. Reasons cited are "to make some improvements to the install experience and address other technical issues." While we're mentioning Halo 2 Vista, we should point out a pair of new reviews for it - GameZone loved it, while GameDaily (with their third review) suggests that it's okay, but not good enough to warrant an upgrade to Vista.
