Runaway Mouths Gather No Truth
Over at Bungie.net, there's a news bit that takes straighter-than-usual aim at a rumor currently circulating - normally, Bungie ignores rumors, but when they get bad enough, they feel like they have to step in. Folks are spreading the word that a 'stealth auto update' has occurred on Xbox Live - that a tree with coconuts was added to Ivory Tower, and that stats are going to be reset. Where do people come up with this crap, anyway? (This showed up on our forum last week - and was shot down completely in short order. I guess other sites aren't quite so fast with this stuff.) As KP says at Bungie.net: there is no update, there is no planned stats reset, this is totally and utterly bogus. Now go back to discussing Denzel Washington's acceptance of the role of Cortana in the upcoming Halo movie. (Louis Wu 00:23:39 UTC)
