Celebrating 100 Days of Halo 3
Morpheus has decided to celebrate the 100th day of Halo 3 (September 25th was 100 days ago) with 100 things he loves (and hates) about Halo 3. The 50-item Love list is up now - apparently, he's waiting a week for the 50-item Hate list. (Won't it be 57 by then?) (Louis Wu 18:50:44 UTC)

The Ghost of Foundry
Heh - unlucky17 was forging away, when suddenly he was attacked - by a totally random grenade. Thrown by nobody. Pretty funky! Thanks, Morpheus. (Louis Wu 16:31:31 UTC)

But I LIKE that level now!
Morpheus noticed another rant/list at Rubbish Pixels - we mentioned the characters they love to hate yesterday - this one covers game levels they just can't stand. Halo's Library makes the list. Sorry, Ferrex. (Louis Wu 04:08:02 UTC)

The Storm, cleaned up
Morpheus managed to record the Storm's closing cutscene with no musical overlay; we'll likely do this again ourselves, at some point, just to keep formats consistent, but in the meantime, you can see/hear it with just the input from the scene itself if you follow links in his forum post. Halo 3 Content Floods Live Marketplace
A bucketful of Halo 3 content made its way onto Xbox Live Marketplace today. First, Morpheus pointed out a Campaign demonstration video, which can be found in the Game Videos category (check new arrivals). Weighing in at 224 megs, Jonty Barnes and Jay Weinland demonstrate one of the large battles from the game. Next, the exclusive content for Gold members we mentioned a few days ago is now up. Look for the "Unite to Fight" ad on either the Marketplace or Xbox Live blades and download a theme, gamerpic and two videos. The first is called "Inside Bungie: Halo 3 - The Story", and the second "Inside Bungie: Halo 3 - New Features", clocking in at 275 and 238 megs, respectively. As the titles imply, they feature folks from Bungie discussing what players can expect out of the story, as well as an overview of some of the new features in Halo 3. (GhaleonEB 06:18:51 UTC)

They'll Regret That, Too...
GameDaily is here to help make sure you have time to finish the fight; they've put up an article with some sample emails you can send to your boss to get out of work on the 25th. Warning: risk of firing imminent. Thanks, Morpheus. (Louis Wu 12:57:16 UTC)

Halo has a few cinematic moments, says GS
Gamespy has posted a Top 25 Video Game Cinematic Moments article - theHalo Wars trailer came in 25th, the Halo E3 2000 demo nabbed 22nd, the Halo 2 'Riding the Pickle' cutscene fell in at 19th, and the Halo 3 CG commercial was at 17th. Nothing above that, unfortunately. Thanks, Stephen Edgar. Update: Morpheus points out that we already covered this, 3 months ago. Oops! (Louis Wu 13:06:19 UTC)

WhatEVER.
You know, I gotta say, when I read Morpheus' forum post about a video his buddy made, I wasn't expecting much... but I found that the actual result was pretty funny. Go watch Master Chief's United States of Whatever at YouTube - it's 3 minutes of nicely timed silliness. (Louis Wu 11:55:06 UTC)

Co-opted.
Wow. IGN put together their list of the Top 10 Best Co-op Games... Halo 2 made the list (at number 7), but Halo is nowhere to be seen. Bizarre. Thanks, Morpheus. (Louis Wu 15:12:44 UTC)

Cinematic Moments, Part 2
Morpheus pointed out that the next installment of Gamespy's Top 25 Video Game Cinematic Moments is up (we mentioned page 1 yesterday) - and again, Halo takes two of the five spots. At 19, Return To Sender is called 'easiliy [sic] the most memorable scene from Halo 2', and at 17, the Starry Night Halo 3 commercial pumped up the reviewers. Still three days left in the article; can Halo continue its daily showing? (Louis Wu 13:55:46 UTC)

The Top 25 Xbox Games of All Time
IGN posted a list of 'The Top 25 Xbox Games of All Time' (well, or the last 5.5 years, I guess) - Halo and Halo 2 took first and second, respectively. Nice! Thanks, Morpheus. (Louis Wu 18:30:34 UTC)
