Sackin' it Up
After closing down a whole bunch of files this afternoon, I found a note I'd made last night about the newest Mail Sack on Bungie.net - you should go read it. There are a couple of clips from the Halo 2 Limited Edition DVD, and a funny story about a Reach bug (and its resolution) that made me smile... and lots and lots and lots of other stuff. Pro Tip - don't start the video that shows 'Clarissa Explains it All' in the preview image.

It's fun, all over again!
It's not Halo-related... but it's pretty exciting. Bungie's Marcus Lehto tweeted that the project he's currently working on (not Destiny) has its first playable prototype up and running... and he's having a blast. How great is that? Thanks, ncsuDuncan. (Tom Van Sinden 18:10:19 UTC) (permalink)
Behind the Frontlines: Preventing an Uprising Dani wrote up a new Behind the Frontline article for Forward Unto Dawn - it'll make you think about the purpose that the extended universe content is supposed to serve. Are the Halo-related books and comics supposed to prime you for playing the next game - or are they supposed to stand on their own, and give you a different window into the reality touched upon by the games? Go read and decide. (Tom Van Sinden 17:41:40 UTC) (permalink)
Mator's Halo Stunting
Mator stopped by to announce that he's blogging about some Halo 1 tricks he's still performing - it's great to see that there are people for whom this game STILL has fun to offer! Go explore his blog. (Tom Van Sinden 17:38:42 UTC) (permalink)
Many thousands of words
A side benefit of playing online with Hedgemony is that you might end up looking spectacular in some after-the-fact panoramas. Such a fate befell Kanbo this morning, when Hedge posted some beautiful pics created from gameplay that took place last night. (Hedge can make anything look beautiful - he also posted some pics of Halo 3 Flood that make me want to go out and dance in a field of flowers.) (Tom Van Sinden 17:36:37 UTC) (permalink)
Tyrant's Anniversary Legendary Walkthrough - The Pillar of Autumn
The Tyrant has kicked off his Halo Anniversary Legendary Walkthrough - the first chapter, Pillar of Autumn, is online now. It's 21 minutes long (he includes all of the cutscenes) and gives you plenty of commentary to help you get through this classic game. Go watch! (Tom Van Sinden 14:01:45 UTC) (permalink)
Halo
Leviathan visited this morning with an image that's simply gorgeous. Go enjoy. (Large version is SORT of usable - cropped - as a desktop wallpaper.) (Tom Van Sinden 13:32:27 UTC) (permalink)
Halo Reach Time Ep.1
mastrbiggy whipped up a comedy montage a few months ago - I just heard about it last night. It made me smile. Go watch. (Tom Van Sinden 13:31:33 UTC) (permalink)
Podtacular 286
Dust Storm sent word that Podtacular 286 is live - it's pretty short (for Podtacular - it's 41 minutes), but it sets up three (yeah, three) shows coming this week. Better get listening! (Tom Van Sinden 13:30:52 UTC) (permalink)
Headhunters Returns
About a year ago, Halo Waypoint debuted Headhunters, a 3-part motion comic based on a story from Evolutions. If you missed it, you missed something cool - but no worries, they're highlighting it again. Part 1 is featured content today. (Tom Van Sinden 13:28:03 UTC) (permalink)
Fails of the Weak 85 We missed Fails of the Weak 85 yesterday - Halo Waypoint put it up. If you'd rather watch it directly on YouTube, or at AchievementHunter.com, you can do that too. (Tom Van Sinden 13:25:13 UTC) (permalink)
Still more cut Halo Wars animations
Quirel found yet another animation reel showing off more unused Halo Wars animations by Juan Martinez. (The bulk of the video is NOT Halo Wars - but it starts off with Halo content.)

Speeding through Reach
RC Master let us know about still MORE Reach speedruns posted recently on High Speed Halo - Pillar of Autumn Legendary, 13:19 (shaves quite a bit off the previous record), Tip of the Spear Heroic in 7:14, and The Package SLASO in 22:17. Go watch! (Tom Van Sinden 13:19:26 UTC) (permalink)
