Official Press Release Neil Davidge on Halo 4
bs angel had a pretty busy week, so we only got the official press release announcing Neil Davidge as the Halo 4 composer last night - but we've posted it in our Miscellaneous section for posterity. If you've been following news all week, there will be nothing new for you here - but if you've been busy, too, this can give you a nice overview of who the man is, and why the Halo franchise is lucky to have him.

Laughter and Burps... and Spartans?
Looks like the Rooster Teeth crew are out in Seattle for some early hands-on experience with SOMETHING Halo-related... can you guess what? Thanks, The Robbertster. (Tom Van Sinden 13:02:07 UTC) (permalink)
He's a Lot More Use To Us Now, That's For Sure! nillapuddin let us know the GameInformer put up a new article stub in their Halo 4 Hub yesterday, this one focusing on Creative Director Josh Holmes. Also, there is a bonus video on GI's YouTube channel where Josh talks about his first big opportunity in the game industry... and how it was almost his last. Funny watch. Definitely go and check them out! (GrimBrother One 12:59:59 UTC) (permalink)
That needler ROCKS.
Tex stopped in last night with news of a really cool chainmaille Grunt. (I wanted to know more about chainmaille, the artform of weaving metal - there's a lot out there, so be sure you've got time if you start googling!) This guy is adorable. (Tom Van Sinden 12:58:39 UTC) (permalink)
Hindsight: ODST - Uplift Reserve
Forward Unto Dawn has a new Hindsight: ODST article - this one walks you through Uplift Reserve. Text plus pictures (LOTS of pictures) will bring you back to that level, and you might just find tidbits you missed when you played! Thanks, davidfuchs. (Tom Van Sinden 12:52:02 UTC) (permalink)
A look at TFoR comics
Hedgemony posted some interesting information in our forum regarding the Fall of Reach comics - sales numbers, release philosophy, and what might have been done better (in his opinion). I found it a worthwhile read!

From News Sleuth to Dungeon Defender Yesterday a new article was posted at the GBO blog. I had a chance to chat for a little bit with Josh Isom (Hitmonchan107) about how he made it into the game industry, some of his favorite Halo community moments, Duck Tales, and more. It's a fun look at an awesome community member who's made his way into the industry proper. Go and give it a a look! (GrimBrother One 12:37:39 UTC) (permalink)
Reoccurring Themes Thanks to Enfinit over at the Waypoint Community for bringing this awesome video to my attention yesterday. It's a set of B-Roll clips from the recent Behind-The-Scenes videos highlighting the announcement of Neil Davidge courtesy of MTV. The brilliance comes through when you listen to the clips of music that the orchestra is playing. If you were worried that Halo 4 would be devoid of some of the gorgeous themes and melodies we've come to know and love... you shouldn't be. Some beautiful snippets of what's to come in there. Also you'll find an interview with Davidge himself, some of which you might have already seen, but there are some new pieces in there as well. Go check it out!
